i am talking about when there would be a get together and everyone would bring lots of food?!?
i guess being a glutton is not as bad as being a drinker, or fornicator...ect!
i remember going to a get together after leaving the cult....and i brought a huge vat of homemade potatoe- salad....and that was about all there was to eat!
The only thing I miss from my JW days are the Frank Mott-Trill Barn dances he use to have!!
If any of you are from the south western ontario region, you will know what dance I am talking about!!!
Man, the food, and moo-moo juice was a plenty... we danced and partyed our asses off till morning!! SOme, of us were suppose to be long gone by morning, but ya know, some of us were just heathens and refused to let a good party die...
Those were the only good days I remember as JW....
ALot of posters have mentioned my favorites as well, but, i will mention them again...
Blue jeans, sweat shirts, the leaves changing all those beautiful colors,( red, oranges, yellows),
Thanksgiving, Volly Ball, boxing, a log burning on the wood stove at night, a dovet to crawl under, a gentle breeze coming in through the window, the Fall Fairs, ( ours is this weekend) and, my dog needing his warm sweater when we go for our nightly walk...
Yes, I am all for Fall...it is my favortie time of the year....had, I had my own way, I would have been married in the Fall but, I wanted an outside one as well.....can't have everything I guess..
i had customers yesterday, a couple, who said they had to get to a meeting by 7:30 last night.

) i asked what was the nature of this meeting, and they said it was like church, and i asked what religion, and they were hohos.
In my 20 year membership and 32 year acquaintance with Jehovah's Witnesses, I can count on one hand the number who have managed to earn my respect as decent human beings.

Just got back from the Toronto airport last week. They kill the pocket book in that place while, you wait!!

what a sad day for our family today.. also, i would like to mention that the men that killed him, did have the guts to come and tell us.
( at 6:00am this morning) a lot of people wouldn?t do that so, this is one thing i thanked him for.
he did feel awful and had more tears then i did when i picked him up and wrapped him in his bedding.. any ways............................ i called the vet to find out how much it would be for a cremation and they want $160.00 bucks!!

and get yourself a kitten. When I lost one of my beloved dogs I got a puppy. It really did help erase the pain - though they can never replace the one who died.

My yougest son's b-day is coming up for Nov. Hubby and I talked this morning about maybe getting him a new kitty for his birthday. My girlfriend breeds Himalayan kittens and they had a batch 3 weeks ago so,we more then likely will get a new one.
We will never forget Stitch ( bawling my eyes out right now) but a new kitten always brings such joy to a family...

I didn't know a man could love an animal this much.
I am so sorry Avengers....You have heart and feelings. That?s a true man in my opinion. My hubby and I bawled our eyes out as we laid our Stitch down last night. I really hope your kitty did not suffer.
