How Long Will You Stay Here?

when will you be done with this forum?

a year?

will leaving be a sign of moving on?.

Right now I find this place, you could say a safe haven.....I have not been here that long but for the short time I have been here, I have had more healing here, then the 15 years out of the borg...I so wish I listened to my kids years ago to get on line and venture...I did not know I had support right in my own living room for so many years,and was to afraid to push buttons to find answers....I know it all sounds so crazy,but I honestly never used a computer till I found this site....I also never thought I could be so healed just from kind people that I never met.....In answer to your question though....I think I will be around for a little while longer.....A time you ask? I dont know.When my soul is ready to fly I suppose. I would also like to stick around for a bit to some how give back what people have done for me..............

Burnt from a blanket

yes, you heard correctly.....on this past weekend i plugged in our electric blanket and put it on my bed...i turned it on to warm it up a bit like i always usally do before going to bed in the fall and winter.....it was on for about a half hour or so then i decided to crawl in....it was about 3 in the morning and i woke up to my leg burning ....no kidding....the blanket had been so hot that it burnt a hole through it and went through my p.j's and burnt my leg.....was i ever upset about the whole thing....i went to sears yesterday.

( that is where the blanket was purchased) and apparently they had a recall on their "sears" brand blankets last year...know one ever contacted me to tell me this....needless to say they replaced my blanket and all i got was a "we are sorry"... i found the clerk to be rather rude about the whole thing.....i asked for her superviser but she was out to lunch as well......i just feel it could have been delt with a little more tlc.....i mean i did get burnt that did blister... i then asked her this question ".what if that had been a child?

" her responce was, you are not suppose to use these blankets on infants.....i then said " i said child not infat" do you think i should leave this matter or take it to a higher person in the company?

Just to inform some people that have purchased electric blankets from Sears, with their name brand on them...that you have to be careful..

salty popcorn or a pack of gummie bears and chocolate bar?

went to the show for cheap night and it cost more for the damn junk food..no one could decide on either one or the other so we bought both...your opinon?

More on Witnesses and charitable works (not)

my wife went to a meeting at our church today to plan a missionary trip to kenya for next march.

the people she met with are part of a group that has built a school, an orphanage, and an aids clinic.

she has decided that her preschool is going to help get supplies for the kids, not a hard task, they have nothing.. this sparked an ugly memory (inretrospect).

How true Jeff, they are very selfish people...All they think about it is,how it would benifit them....if it does not make them money,then they are not in..IMOP..

i was looking on the thread on music when i just thought to ask that question.

for me, it was gwar's violence has arrived.

i remember loving that band so much when i first heard of them to the point where i downloaded everything they had, from album mp3's to rare bootlegs.

Wham.....I cant remember the songs now but it was something like"I want your sex" and "wake me up before you gogo" on it.....man what a mistake that album was...got turned in for that one.........

i just wanted to give you a huge thank you for the work you did in coordinating the letter writing campaign regarding the travesty of justice in the vicki boer trial.. your quick and efficient work in developing both the content and easy delivery of the letters made all the difference in the world in getting those letters out.

even providing various formats to assist those who had difficulty in downloading on version.. instead of just being vocal online about how bad things are, you both put your money where your mouth is and stood up and took action.

thank you again.. i am honoured to count you both as friends.. uzzah

would you attend the funeral/memorial service?

assuming that it would be held in a kh; or even if it wasn't.. this is something that's been on my mind lately; honestly, i'm not sure why.

my parents are both still relatively young; 60 and 61. my dad has been diagnosed with skin cancer but both are otherwise healthy.. i really don't know whether i would; particularly for my father.

mom and dad are both out now,but nana and papa are still there......I would attend for either one of them...they would both want me there,and I sure the hell would not let any dubs stand in my way....The dubbs gave up on me years ago,so they dont bother with me anymore...which suits me just fine............
