vicki and i are off to our high school reuion this weekend i cannot wait to see so many faces..... i am a little ticked that it was such a last second thing, as they could not locate us...other wise i would have been on a kick to drop 20lbs...you know the regular girl thing....so i guess they will see me my true best, weight and all....... many will be shocked to see that we are no longer jws, and can party with the best of them now...and that we have turned out normal... morty

well, it was quite an exciting weekend!

around 48 people showed up, and it was great to meet all the new people, and visit with the ones i already knew.

Vicki Boer on Canada AM this morning - NOT about sexual abuse

canada am is doing a cross-country set of interviews about what political issues are on everyone's mind these days, considering the election coming up at the end of the month.

this morning seamus o'regan was in fredericton interviewing military families and what they're hopes/expectations were for a political party and whether military spending, health care or other issues were top priorities for them.. vicki's husband is in the military but fortunately is not overseas now.

she was there with the kids and one other family and seamus was asking about health care for military families.

I must share a funny little story about this interview this morning.....

Vicki recieved the phone call last night to do the interview and late last night one of her girls fell and spranned her ankel...Off to the hospital she went with her daughter...On the way there, her other daughter was running around and fell and hit her head....So then she had both girls at the hospital waiting in the ER...She spent almost the entire night in the hospital and almost missed the interview....She pulled that interview off with no sleep, and looked like she was well preped eh???... Her and I had good laugh about late this morning, but she will tucked away early into the nest tonight....

Edited to say* Get lots of sleep Vic, you will need it for the weekend!!! ( her and I have our high school reunion this weekend)

Uzzah,

I think you made some very good points...Having a mutal place to meet for when these disasters happen, is a very good plan.Just 5 mins away, we had funnel clouds around us and those funnels clouds touched down 1/2 away in Mitchell,Ont that ripped 30 homes down last weekend. We also had funnel clouds a couple of weekends ago only in the next town.. If you have never been in or around this kind of weather, it can be rather scary...A plan is so important....Another thing I would like to point out is that here, in South Western Ont, we are very vunerable for Toradoes to hit here this summer....More so then any other years according to the weather folks....Please have a plan...
