All this new glittery cyber stuff is really just an attempt at rekindling some of the excitement of their old “glory days” of yesteryear, when people would say about their new public spectacles, “Ooh, that’s amazing! I wonder where that will go.” But all they’re really doing is just trying to clean up their image. It’s just like taking a dirty, germ-ridden lollipop up from the dirty, shitty ground and giving it a little pretty coat of icing – which reminds me of their own illustration in the book What Does the Bible Really Teach?, chapter 16, paragraph 12 (on page 159): “Suppose you saw a piece of candy lying in the gutter. Would you pick up that candy and eat it? Of course not! That candy is unclean. Like that candy, holidays may seem sweet, but they have been picked up from unclean places. To take a stand for true worship, we need to have a viewpoint like that of the prophet Isaiah, who told true worshipers: ‘Touch nothing unclean.’ – Isaiah 52:11.”

i'm not certain the governing body came up with these ideas.
at least not the old guard which died off around 2009.. given the fairly recent articles in the kingdom ministry and watchtower about the dangers of the internet and having the latest gadget, this rebranding effort can't have been in the works for much more than three years.. the makeover is slick...very slick...and very clever.

That’s a very good, valid question. If that
ShariaMontana lawmaker wants to make it actually illegal to wear Yoga pants / leggings / stretch trousers / jogging pants / skinny jeans, etc., then the law will have to also include as a crime of “indecent exposure” even the wearing of bathing suits at the beach and ballet leotards during public stage performances. So, they will have to ban Olympic downhill and cross-country skiing, bicycle racetrack events, swimming/diving competitions, etc. They will probably end up with minimum age restrictions at such events because of what this David “Doc” Moore guy views as indecent, shocking, and adults-only. (They will probably end up requiring proof-of-age ID to attend swimming competitions or public ballet performances as a spectator.)I swear to God, every day I see another petty and just plain stupid thing in the wonderful world of law. And I keep on asking myself the same question: What’s going to be next?

That’s even more Orwellian than the movie “1984”! Those “indecent exposure” laws in Montana are beyond ridiculous.
According to Rep. Virginia Court, D-Billings in the Billings Gazette (shown in the comments below the linked item), “Currently, a person convicted of indecent exposure three times could be sentenced to life in jail and up to $10,000.” Really? Wow!! How much more Draconian can you get. That’s being more picayunish and repressed than Queen Victoria herself. Aren’t there just a little more serious crimes like, oh, wife beating and armed robbery to be concerned about?
Now, what about ballet performances. Are they going to ban that too because of the tight, stretchy pants theiy wear? And what about going to the beach or swimming? Is that going to also be illegal because of wearing Speedos or bathing suits? Where does it end? I keep asking myself every day, What are they going to ban next? Going to the barhroom? Breathing? . . . . Really, what’s next?

And as for that Jesus guy, they would probably say that he was just the old mediator/savior (that is, before the current governing body on the block, who thinks they are everyone’s mediator/savior).

No, “New day,” you must certainly not be “the only one to think that this is a real piece of work.” Any thinking person, such as yourself and myself, would surely have at least some part of their brain lighting up with some kind of error messages about the idea of the WTS suggesting that people be “selling homes and possessions to work there” and then “have to find somewhere to live, work,” and even “pay for their own accommodation and living expenses and commute a day or more each week to work on the new HQ.”That reminds me about how the WTS used to strongly “suggest” that people make extreme sacrifices for the organization in anticipation of the 1975 thing by way of writing about some people who actually (apparently) sold their homes and farms! What they had so cleverly prophesied back then – about Armageddon happening in 1975 – of course never happened, but, what they’re focusing on now will happen – that is, the construction of a brand-spanking-new headquarters in Warwick by slave labor from a bunch of their willing dupes. That, unfortunately, will happen.
