But, at the same time, I also recognize that there has to be some basic “law and order” among society as a whole to curtail destructive the arbitrary imposition of counterproductive and harmful religious dogma.
There must necessarily be some reasonable and logical limits to the application of serious religious practices. . . . I mean, . . . . Stoning, anyone?

All medical doctors take the famous Hippocratic Oath, which requires them to uphold specific ethical standards. But if any doctor, or nurse, is unwilling to adhere to those standards, then, well, why bother?
Medical practice is supposed to, um, save lives. But if the medical profession ends up having to kowtow to the parochial mandates of extreme fundamentalist cults such as the Watch Tower, then all the efficacy of the accumulated scientific knowledge goes right out the window.
But in our modern enlightened and civilized society, such purely superstitious behaviour – as apparently interpreted by certain self-serving pseudo-religious outfits – really has no place, and should be discarded along with all other such relics of pre-homo-sapient society.

Certain specific congregations located near the area of the Toronto Pearson International Airport have been designated to take part, in shifts, in the official greetings of the international delegates as they arrive there.
Locations for the actual 2017 International Regional Convention in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) will include the Toronro Air Canada Centre (the city’s modern hockey venue), as well as the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. (I haven’t checked any other locations in the GTA for the convention program. You will have to see the official JW Website for any other such details.)
The specifics relating to exactly who the participants are in the entertainment program, and any other details relating thereto, are to be kept in the utmost secrecy. I do know, however, that the two cardinal stipulations emphatically imposed by the Governing Body upon all the approved international delegates is that, first they participate in field service arrangements during their stay; and, second, that they agree to attend the special gala evening of “extracurricular” entertainment hosted by the brothers and sisters through the organization.
I was wondering if anyone else has been privy to, or has come upon, any knowledge of these “extra” arrangements to take place during the 2017 International Regional Convention. Has anyone heard about any similar kind of arrangements in your local area? What kinds of similar “hush-hush” preparations and selections of performers might their be in a congregation near you?

Welcome, “Silent Knight”!
You will find that this step is just the beginning. The more you investigate the Watch Tower organization (cult!), the more you will realize how it is so obviously a man-made power-driven enterprise. And then, you will continue to see how ALL of the religions out there are also really the same thing (just different “flavours”).
When you can step back and view the entire forest from afar, then you will be able to see just how all the many defects of character within humankind have been coming into play with, and projected upon, religion in general, in all its varied forms.
You are certainly to be commended and respected for daring to stick your head outside of the bubble of imposed superstitious constraint. You are on the right track, my friend.
I myself believe that the processes by which everything, including us, came about were of a vastly different nature than anyone may think. I believe that what people refer to as “God” is really an emergent property of a higher order manifestation of the logical functioning of pure mathematical constructs.
A most certain given is that the Watch Tower organization is definitely not any kind of credulous outfit, by any stretch of the imagination. And neither is any other religious institution.
