  For God So Loves the Western World...

  ...that only people from those countries can lead 'his organization'.. a few years ago, one conversation stopper people would often bring up to jws in my country is: 'you guys are an american religion'.

  the standard answer we were formatted to give to shoot that down was that "god does not favor any nationality over others.

  however some countries do possess some advantages needed for the advancement of the divine work.

  One thing that has always puzzled me, as it also does non-JWs, is the fact that the WT organization leadership and management is entirely comprised of men, and no women whatsoever. I showed a photograph of the JW governing body to a non-JW friend of mine, and immediately he asked me, “No women? Why aren’t there any women?” He was quite surprised that women aren’t allowed to be in any kind of position within the JW organization.

  Requiring absolutely 100% males in the WTS’ organizational structure (other than the toilet-cleaning, laundry-washing women at the very bottom) naturally cuts out about half of all human diversity. Women, if they’re of the 144,000 anointed class, can apparently enjoy equal partnership after they die in heaven, but here on earth, not even squat. And that, to me, is one of the big reasons why I know that the WTS couldn’t possible represent the divine will of an Almighty God.

  Incidentally, “Tempest in a Teacup,” I’m rather curious which country it is you live in? You don’t have to say if you don’t want to, but I’m just curious.

  Does everyone here know they are on record with JW's forever?

  richard ashe a full-time special servant of the order of jehovah's witnesses testified in the lopez case that every single disfellowshipping and disassociation and other things have all been scanned in 2011 and are and will be on permanent record with jw's forever.

  is this legal?

  another completely ironic and warped thing is the disfellowshipping form is called the s77 form.

  Regardless of whatever legalities there are, I say who the heck cares whether all the disfellowshippings and disassociations, etc. are to be on the WTS’ permanent records! Personally, I couldn’t care less what some little religious organization has about me in its records. I mean, it’s not like any future employer is ever going to be looking into that when they check out your criminal record or your driving record, or whatever is relevant to offering you a job. As far as I’m concerned, the WTS can write my record in crayon or in real gold or etch it into a stone plaque. Whatever dossier those clowns have on anybody, it’s just something which exists within their own little world. It’s not like the WTS is going to make it publically searchable on Google or something, and the WTS always likes to keep all their records private and secret anyway. Heck, they even try to keep some of their publications secret, such as the elders’ manual, Pay Attention to Yourselves and All the Flock, and the Bethelite rulebook, Dwelling Together In Unity. So, I couldn’t imagine there being any kind of actual liability in the WTS keeping there little secret files on people. They can stick it up their ass as far as I care. Like, who cares?

  Actually, it’s this Web site (“http://www.jehovahs-witness.com”) and others like it that can save your life – save it from being wasted, and also save it literally by opening your eyes to the JW blood policy and how absolutely illogical and ridiculous it is. If everyone had learned the real facts behind the WTS operation right from the beginning by the information gathered by us “apostates,” it no doubt would have literally saved the lives of thousands of people, including children and babies, by their not following the reprehensible dictates of the WT’s power-hungry leaders.

  The new cyber glitter-glamour of the WTS will, at least for now, still continue to be able to maintain a certain level of indoctrination, because any repetitive type of regimen eventually alters one’s thinking and perception. It is said with regard to those suffering various addictions that they can’t simply think themselves into good action but, rather, they must act themselves into good thinking. But in the process of religious indoctrination, an imposed repetitive type of curriculum has the effect of altering one’s thinking and perception, eventually hijacking one’s very hope and motivation. That’s why a JW must wake up and get off that phony, ritualistic merry-go-round if he or she has a chance to recover from their mental and emotional dizziness.

  What person/persons/group is behind the rebranding of Jehovahs Witnesses

  with the jw rebranding program in full swing, who do you think is behind all this?

  i'm not certain the governing body came up with these ideas.

  at least not the old guard which died off around 2009.. given the fairly recent articles in the kingdom ministry and watchtower about the dangers of the internet and having the latest gadget, this rebranding effort can't have been in the works for much more than three years.. the makeover is slick...very slick...and very clever.

  All this new glittery cyber stuff is really just an attempt at rekindling some of the excitement of their old “glory days” of yesteryear, when people would say about their new public spectacles, “Ooh, that’s amazing! I wonder where that will go.” But all they’re really doing is just trying to clean up their image. It’s just like taking a dirty, germ-ridden lollipop up from the dirty, shitty ground and giving it a little pretty coat of icing – which reminds me of their own illustration in the book What Does the Bible Really Teach?, chapter 16, paragraph 12 (on page 159): “Suppose you saw a piece of candy lying in the gutter. Would you pick up that candy and eat it? Of course not! That candy is unclean. Like that candy, holidays may seem sweet, but they have been picked up from unclean places. To take a stand for true worship, we need to have a viewpoint like that of the prophet Isaiah, who told true worshipers: ‘Touch nothing unclean.’ – Isaiah 52:11.”

  Here, here! That is really the crux of it. I think that it’s not about women somehow causing men’s desire to get out of control, but, rather, it’s really all about the innate defect of human character in which people in power feel a need to control and dominate others by imposing their own superstitious/religious/socio-political wishes on others.

  And, surprise, surprise – this Sharia Montana lawmaker guy, David “Doc” Moore, is a tight-ass republican! (Yes, pun intended.)

  “dugout”: “Tell me is a bathing suit indecent?”

  That’s a very good, valid question. If that Sharia Montana lawmaker wants to make it actually illegal to wear Yoga pants / leggings / stretch trousers / jogging pants / skinny jeans, etc., then the law will have to also include as a crime of “indecent exposure” even the wearing of bathing suits at the beach and ballet leotards during public stage performances. So, they will have to ban Olympic downhill and cross-country skiing, bicycle racetrack events, swimming/diving competitions, etc. They will probably end up with minimum age restrictions at such events because of what this David “Doc” Moore guy views as indecent, shocking, and adults-only. (They will probably end up requiring proof-of-age ID to attend swimming competitions or public ballet performances as a spectator.)

  I swear to God, every day I see another petty and just plain stupid thing in the wonderful world of law. And I keep on asking myself the same question: What’s going to be next?

  That’s even more Orwellian than the movie “1984”! Those “indecent exposure” laws in Montana are beyond ridiculous.

  According to Rep. Virginia Court, D-Billings in the Billings Gazette (shown in the comments below the linked item), “Currently, a person convicted of indecent exposure three times could be sentenced to life in jail and up to $10,000.” Really? Wow!! How much more Draconian can you get. That’s being more picayunish and repressed than Queen Victoria herself. Aren’t there just a little more serious crimes like, oh, wife beating and armed robbery to be concerned about?

  Now, what about ballet performances. Are they going to ban that too because of the tight, stretchy pants theiy wear? And what about going to the beach or swimming? Is that going to also be illegal because of wearing Speedos or bathing suits? Where does it end? I keep asking myself every day, What are they going to ban next? Going to the barhroom? Breathing? . . . . Really, what’s next?

  Well, the governing body would say that they don’t have to rely on the Bible anyway because they have something far superior and grander: The Watchtower magazine (that is, only as it appears on their online library, covering from the year 2000 onward). And as for that Jesus guy, they would probably say that he was just the old mediator/savior (that is, before the current governing body on the block, who thinks they are everyone’s mediator/savior).
