2 witnesses should help prove if someone is just trying to make up a story- unfortunately it just means both of them can make up a story together.
As to how they can ignore and cover up such offenses?
***They don't want the rest of the world to see their people can be screwed up too- they are supposed to be Jehovahs perfect organization-their hallmark is how loving, diverse and supportive they are. They wouldn't get anymore new recruits that way.
***They don't want their own people to know how screwed up they can be because they might lose them.
The sad bottom line is that they pick their favorite in the situation- the one who sticks by the WT- and make the other person (victim or not) the criminal and punish them.

sad elder's wives and kids

organize an elders course, naturally!
wouldnt want these guys to have some family time, would we now?.

call it cranky but if the 'elders' can't fullfil their duties at home they shouldn't be elders.
Elders/deacons/whatever should be selected based on how they take care of their famlily as head of the household according to the New Testament.
But Jws never cared about sticking to the Bible before so why start now :-o -

to mymichelle: they can only 'celebrate' passover because its 'mentioned' in the Bible but even there they can't participate in everything- only 144,000 in all of history can take communion there.
It's just another way to be different.
God in the Bible commands lots of Jewish holidays so that proves that the idea of holidays is not 'Satanic' even Jesus himself is recorded as celebrating them including the 'festival of lights' which is Hannukah. The idea of Holidays is clearly not wrong- they just NEED to be different. They say that you don't need a special day to say I love you and give gifts but again its all about them.
They don't care that Christmas is about Jesus' birth, don't care that easter is about the resurection, don't care to celebrate their children blessed with another great year of life! -

A question on counting time
by Bandit inwell after lurking for a year i figure it's time to start giving back and geting views on my own thoughts, here we go.
my wife (a jw i'm not)was saying lastnight that she felt bad because she only got 2 hrs this month so far (going out all day today).
never mind the fact she's started to volunteer at a childrens hospital.. .

You are right on the mark there. Ephesians was what I was going to say but ya beat me to it :)
Christians are saved by grace and out of love for God and love for other people they do good works but the works aren't what saves them.
Sorry to say but the WT needs to keep their people at work so they don't have time to read the Bible for themselves and the WT needs them to find new JWs to replace the ones that have wised up. -

no offense yo but predicting WWII would end is not a daring prediction and comes after a long line of predictions that have failed miserabley and they still predict the end after that date as well. How many failed prophecies do they need to make before people realize that they are what the Bible calls false prophets--
Dueteronomy 18:20 states
"But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods MUST BE PUT TO DEATH"
I'm not saying that under the new covenant the WT leaders should be put to death but they should not be trusted for a tree is recognized by its fruit. -
