I have been exposed!
Here, have a throw.
i think my favourite portrayal of jesus was lothaire bluteau in " jesus of montreal" .
thats also my reccomendation for a great movie.. anyway it would be fun to compile a list of actors, that have portrayed jesus and how it effected our perception of jesus..

The hippy in church poster: sounds like a pretty cool way of letting Christians know that they should be more understanding about hippies.
true believers, whether christian, muslim or whatever, want to convert you, they want you to believe what they do, and they're willing to go to extremes to make it happen.
atheists don't really care what you believe, and don't go out of their way to convert someone.. http://ow.ly/vn1jz an example of what believers in power do to suppress any difference in thought.

So outside a forum for the discussion of all things religious you don't see a lot of discussion of all things religious. Fascinating!
Outside a forum for ex jws, I don't see a lot of atheists pushing atheism, in religious way. I do run across atheists. My grandson is an atheist. What strikes me as a big difference between ordinary life and JWN, is that outside the forum when a believer of any kind expresses something about his beliefs, he doesn't have atheists confront and try to persuade him of atheism. Julian has friends who believe in various things. He is respectful of their personal feelings. Where I see a difference is that Julian has never been involved with an intensely, evangelistic faith. He hasn't learned that kind of behavior. He can be opinionated, but when it comes to atheism and religion, he tends to mirror the respectfulness of the Episcopal Church, which is not evangelistic. They teach that every person is on a unique journey.

Outside the exjw community, atheists don't tend to evangelize, though it does happen. At least here on JWN, there is a noticeable amount of proseltysm type behavior from some atheists.
i live in a rural area; in field service we had to drive from house to house.. i have not had any desire to visit any church for several years now.
saturday i was doing chores in my yard - washing the car, etc.
- and 2 ladies drove in, dressed like witnesses would be dressed.
One of Julian's friends committed suicide on Saturday. They will be giving him the full Roman Catholic rituals for the dead, including the Rosary service they do the night before the funeral. I'm without a car still, but I hope I can go. He was spending a lot of time here the past few weeks. I know the services will offer some comfort.

New Hope, Rub is just being a card. Laugh and then don't take it seriously. His name is Rub after all.

Church is a good experience. I recommend visiting different churches. I prefer the Anglican type liturgy, but it's good to visit other churches and even investigate how non christians worship.

Here is an interview with Ted Neeley about his role as Jesus.

I like Ted Neeley from the 1973 film version of Jesus Christ Superstar. He's a rocker from Texas and is currently touring with some of the film castmates, around the world, celebrating 40 years of the film. He's a pretty cool guy in real life. I see his posts on facebook every week.

If you think you will enjoy a fundamentalist church, Baptist will work. There are different Baptist sects, though. What country do you live in? Here in the USA, we have some pretty hellfire and damnation sects.
