we are all different.
It's easy, but there are consequences for a sudden break with the JWs. OUr congo was already treating us differently though, before we left. The shunning from family came many, many years later.
if you don't like being a jehovah's witness or going to the kingdom hall or the society then leave.... it's as simple as that... .
i left several years ago and have not been hounded, bothered or sought out by anyone.
i still see them from time to time, and yes, they do pour out the love bomb when you run into them, but eh, you know what?

Westie, just love them and be there for them when they want to talk or vent about it. YOu did what you felt was right at the time and surely you did fun things with them and gave them good memories. My daughter has fond memories of some experiences she had like older sisters who loved her, get togethers, friends, the motels at the conventions, etc. She remembers the weddings and going to spend time with other JW kids and their families, etc.
My son told me recently that he appreciates the solid sense of what was right and wrong we raised him with. He doesn't mean silly JW right and wrongs, but the things like stealing. We didn't cuss like sailors like some parents do. He viewed us having respect for others, etc. and we always put family and our children first.

It is easy, ucantnome, if you don't way overthink it.

There must be 50 ways to leave Jehovah.
Just change the word lover to Jehovah.
50 Ways To Leave Your Lover Add « see all songs Lyrics:
“The problem is all inside your head”
She said to me
“The answer is easy if you
Take it logically
I’d like to help you in your struggle
To be free
There must be fifty ways
To leave your lover”
She said, “It’s really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning
Won’t be lost or misconstrued
But I’ll repeat myself
At the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways
To leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover”
You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don’t need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don’t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free
Ooh, slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don’t need to be coy, Roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don’t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free
She said, “It grieves me so
To see you in such pain
I wish there was something I could do
To make you smile again”
I said, “I appreciate that
And would you please explain
About the fifty ways?”
She said, “Why don’t we both
Just sleep on it tonight
And I believe in the morning
You’ll begin to see the light”
And then she kissed me
And I realized she probably was right
There must be fifty ways
To leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover
You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don’t need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don’t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free
Slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don’t need to be coy, Roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don’t need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free
i was out walking my dog and thought, there is no way an intelligent being would create this animal :-).
Provided he exists (which he does not)
I say we don't know that God is a guy or that there is only one God or Goddess. I kinda like the explanation in Jehovah Unmasked, about why our world is so messed up. You should read it. I'm not saying it's true, but it's interesting, what the Gnostics believed about who Jehovah is and why things are like they are.Jehovah Unmasked, is written by an ex JW. It's an easy read and was helpful in my journey out of the org.

Dogs and camels just prove there is a sense of humor involved.
if you were a lady and you were 55 and had $5,000 or less to spend on a used car, what would buy?
top concerns: good mpg; reliable; in not having major issues like ball joints breaking, timing belts breaking, etc.
not too expensive to maintain.
Car hunting sucks.
It so does, St. Ann, especially when you have no car to go look for a car. I walked down to the dealership today. It's closeby. The 2009 Corolla's seats are hard and my arms were too far above my legs. The wheel had hardly any grips on it and wasn't cushioned like my last car.
forgive me for indulging in a goodbye but it would feel wrong not to,.
i hope the discussions and atmosphere here do not change for it is a bubbling brew of doubt, bravery and sincere hunger for answers.
these are healthy ingrediants for humans and especially for a jehovah's witness.. this forum offers not just the ability to ask without consequence, but it also offers the means to be real.
Oh no, now, you have to come back and check in here and there and tell us about your fascinating world as a doctor.
Meanwhile, I understand being a doctor can be stressful, so here's my prescription for you. When you get down or overwhelmed, play or sing this. (It's the best doctor song ever):

Wow, congrats.
i mean " courting" certainley sounds more dignified than " hanging out with a new squeeze".
" comely" is a word i think should be used more often".
