I wish we could blame it all on the Bible, but honestly we can't. I've seen men, even from this forum spout off all kinds of foo foo, bordering on mysogney and claim they are basing it on Evolution. The problem is that evolutionists don't agree about a lot of the claims each other make about human beings. I had one guy, a former JW, tell me that men are supposed to sow their wild oats. They are not even supposed to stick around to help raise the children they spawn. They are just supposed to happily bed any women they can conquer, inpregnate them and leave their easy women butts behind. They are not supposed to marry women. Marriage is a trick women play on the men to try to get them to be monogamous.

Then the other day I saw a documentary about Evolution that said men and women both, as well as their offspring, are rewarded for sticking with each other as a family unit.

I've heard men claim that according to Evolution, women are meant to be monogamous, but men are not. That sounds amazingly like an excuse for the double standard.

Women tend to be guarded because they can get pregnant. So women say no a lot, to offers for sex. In a nutshell, it's power over the vagina at stake, no matter what men believe or don't believe.

That said, I know some pretty good guys from differing religious or scientific backgrounds who are wonderful. These are the guys who don't use religion or evolution to try excuse bad behavior towards women or their children. I love all of you guys, it's just easier to love men who truly like women. Truly. When I say like, I am not talking about liking women for just sex. I mean genuinely liking the feminine gender and what it's all about, the kindred things and the things that make women different from men, mentally and physically. Men who genuinely enjoy spending time socializing with women.

anyone read the "fat girl's guide to life"?

i am reading it right now and finding it pretty interesting.

it makes me think outside the box a little bit about how much money is spent on products for people to lose weight, and how much money saturates the market and influences so much of the media.. the author's attitude is one i try to have-- exercise, be balanced in eating habits, drink water, take nutrition supplements, and don't obsess over dieting & what the scale says or about other people's judgements toward my weight.. right now, i already know why i am overweight-- i am eating to deal with my bipolar issues.

Note: some people have never really stopped to notice the vast array of beautiful women. They have a set idea nailed into their brains of what they think is beauty, put there by Hollywood, fashion models and playboy. They miss so much and maybe cheat themselves and others by having a narrow list of what is attractive. I'll admit, it was Andy who opened my eyes to all the beauty I was missing. He is the one who said to me, Beauty doesn't come in one size." He is so right.

top concerns: good mpg; reliable; in not having major issues like ball joints breaking, timing belts breaking, etc.

There's a difference between a natural, firm voluptousness (as many of the women naturally are in the images at the top of this page) and a big flabby obese cellulite-covered person that the opposite sex inwardly grimaces at. So many women (and men) are in denial about this.

Like you for instance. Now I know there are men and women who only find fit people sexy. On the other hand, there are many men who like even what is called super big beautiful women. These women don't weigh 200 lbs, they way 350, 500 and more lbs. There are dating sites and there is porn, just for such men to find dates, mates and/or pleasure. Men in denial? Denial of what? Sexy is sexy. Sexy is not confined to a size. I remember finding John Candy very sexy when he played Uncle Buck. There are two men who come into where I work. They are both very tall and big. One is a Spaniard, the other is American and is an opera singer. They both sizzle with sexiness and confidence. All of the women smile at them, flirt with them and talk about them. What is that silly cliche'? Whatever floats your boat.

Watson, as long as man doesn't make a woman miserable trying to get her to be something she is not, he is not a jerk. People should never be cruel to each other about such matters.

Thanks, guys. I'm betting my grandson, 6'1" and his friends would love the CRV. When Andy comes to visit, he is 6'2". Imagine them riding one in front and the other directly behind in my Talon. Knees up to the chin.

As a rule of thumb, the fatter she gets, the less sexually interested he gets. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh but a lot of women really do need to wake up and deal with reality in this regard.

You can speak for yourself there. This simply isn't true for many, many men. I know so many men who prefer the look and feel of a plump, sexy, curvy body over a bony, skinny, mannishly muscular body. I know one husband who got upset when his tiny wife gained some weight. He cut her off and paid no attention to her, thinking no other men would want her. He threatened to divorce her constantly. That bullying and neglect went on for ten years. Finally, she left and found she was very sought after, by handsome and even much younger men. He has never dated anyone else. He remains single. He confides to her kids that he has always loved her. She will never have him back though. She has had a very active love life and tons of attention. Moral of the story: don't assume your wife is unattractive because she is not her teenaged size anymore. Don't assume the men won't line up to compete for her attention, once you have alienated and/or run her off.
