Do you think all men are rapists at heart if given the opportunity?
Absolutely not. Do you think they would?

Are you surprised that most men are sickened at the abuse of children?
No. What I am struck by is that the media portrays East Indian men to be very anti-female of any age. It's a good thing, the men in the crowd.

17 is horrendous! There are many cars that do ~60 around town (in the uk), there is only so much oil in the world :(
It is horrendous. That is why GM and Ford have had to get with the program. I had to buy my car with cash. I was limited as to what I could afford. Usually you have to buy Japanese to get this kind of mpg. We depend on our cars here. In the UK you have great transit options and then villages that have everything you need. You bike and walk. The USA is huge compared to England and the British Isles. Here, everything is far away, unless you live in a tiny town, then you're still going to have to travel to bigger cities for goods and good medical care.
As for there only being so much oil, there are new strides in alternative fuels.

Zombie Dub, another thing is, this car looks great, inside and out and its comfortable. I drove a Toyota Corolla that was ugly, inside and out. The seats were tiny and stiff, no cushion. There were none of the features I got on this G6 base model: cruise control, satellite radio, onstar and so much more. This has leg room in the back, where the drab, gray toyota had little.

The fact that you think getting less than 30mpg is 'great' is scary and a huge problem with the USA
This isn't free way driving. On the Freeway, it can get close to 40 MPG. For a GM sedan, yes, 28.9 around town, stop and go, is fabulous. Some GM sedans get 17 MPG.

I'm going to post more pictures tomorrow.
ONe of my friends who drives me around, owns a 2006 G 6. I really liked it, but when I saw what good mpg hers gets, I was sold. There is a setting that shows how many mpg you're getting as you drive.
if you were a lady and you were 55 and had $5,000 or less to spend on a used car, what would buy?
top concerns: good mpg; reliable; in not having major issues like ball joints breaking, timing belts breaking, etc.
not too expensive to maintain.
I finally found a car and brought it home tonight. I paid cash for it. I drove it it 44 miles tonight and got 28.9 to the gallon. That was some around town and long stretches of country road driving.
I made a new thread about the car. It's a 2009 Pontiac G6.

Well, thank you, Tiger Suit. What a cute moniker, by the way.
I am giddy. Now I can buy a watermelon, because I won't have to walk it home.
