by snugglebunny ini was about 12. i took a friend along to a meeting and he said he didn't mind learning stuff but it was a shame it was so boring.. i was about 14. i had my very own bible study and took him along.
he just kept whispering about the girls there that he fancied.. i was in my early 20's.
i took along a lady that i knew.

When my father died, my non-JW auntie and uncle attended the funeral talk. They said they expected to come to a funeral -not observe a commercial. -

I was in my early 20's. I took along a lady that I knew. She was astonished at the WT study. She said that she'd never heard of a religion that not only supplied the answers to everything but also supplied the right questions to ask.

Just planted my Christmas new potatoes. You have to buy special seed potatoes then put them in sacks filled with compost. Normally you plant pots in April, but you can buy special seed pots that have been held back artificially but will still grow in our UK weather and be just perfect for Christmas dinner. The best variety is Charlotte.

My hanging baskets are looking pretty good this year. They're trailing tropical shades begonias. I've put them on brackets attached to the fence posts around our decking.

A small update on the ongoing investigation by the Royal Commission
by umbertoecho ini think you people would like to know that since the public hearing has finished.
there has been ongoing contact made to me by the staff at the rc.
they have been inundated with calls and the same experiences or similar ones are being related.. the staff are not backwards in coming forwards with insights that they have shared.

I used to make shepherding calls until I was reproved for only shepherding the prettier sisters.

Sister attendants not able to give directions to a brother..Misogyny
by Theburstbubble inat our recent rc i was advised by a sister who was an attendant that they have been advised not to be able to give brothers directions as this should be dealt with by the brothers.
apparently at the pre-convention attendants meeting, the sisters were asked to stay behind.
this was when they were given the news that the brothers should deal with brothers.

Clearly the sisters simply just do not KNOW THEIR LIMITS!

by The Searcher ina source tells me the following: .
for shropshire uk by the name of anthony manning has been removed and judicially reproved.
portishead congregation in north somerset is being merged or disbanded on sept 1st 2015 due to "aging elders, poor attendance, decrepit kingdom hall and landslip" - of course the suspicion is wt just wants to sell the hall off.

by cobweb ini used to visit this site about ten years ago.
i haven't come her in a long time.
i have just recently started talking to a family member who is leaving the jws and i wanted to know what are the best sites available these days for finding out all the topics of information - failed prophecy, 1975, rutherford's drinking, russells tombstone - you know all of that kind of stuff.. back in the day there used to be a site run by a norwegian i think called kent.

Try this. There's a great many articles written by Norman Hovland, Alan Feuerbacher and several others. Excellent reading too.

It's probably true of early teens. Back in the day many of my school mates would indulge in same sex relationships, however it was generally regarded as a "make do" stop-gap until a willing female was encountered.
JW boys were no different. Although we were aware that sexual intercourse resulted in disfellowshipping, it didn't occur to anyone that same-sex play was any more serious than masturbation. The WT only talked about fornication, little else.

I see there's talk of the UK government providing free e-cigarettes to hardened smokers in order to get them away from their ciggies. And of course, everyone says how harmless e-cigarettes are - just like they said about ordinary cigarettes not so long ago. Not that there's none so pure as the purified..
