i know this is a stupid question because the answer is obvious, but if a person was born a male and gets transgender surgery to turn into female will that person go to heaven as a male or female if they died saved?

i think they will go to heaven with the gender they were born with.

There's an art to choosing a watch. Rolex and Omegas are regarded as ostentatious by many. The more discerning wearer will probably opt for a Hamilton or if the wearer wants to be really understated he''ll choose an Ebel. I'm semi-ostentatious so I wear a Longines. Good shoes and a good watch says it all IMHO.

Another possibility is that the 1975 debacle might in future teachings be linked to the great apostasy of 1980 in which Ray Franz was disfellowshipped. They'll probably hang all the blame for 1975 on him, especially now that he's not around to deny it.

I read somewhere that the temporary letting up of hostility to disfellowshipped ones published in a 70's Watchtower was only there because Ray had written the article.

every time i've asked this in an existing thread, i've never gotten an answer, so forgive me for starting a new thread in order to ask again.

i simply cannot figure out how to quote someone with the standard yellow box.

i can copy/paste the quote, sure, but nothing i do makes it appear in a yellow box like everyone else.

My parents sold up their home to become need is greaters during the 75 saga. Armageddon is just around the corner! They used the money from their home to fund the move. I was out of the JW's by then. My father gave up a lucrative job and pension and, when the money ran out, did various menial jobs to survive in their rented home.

Eventually they finished up in social housing. In later years when I referred to that period my mother exclaimed "Oh are you a seventy-fiver then?"

Unbelievable.

The WT excels at drip feeding it's adherents who will eagerly connect the dots and crosses as later "new light" arrives. Once 1975 has been addressed and 1914 has been rebutted, another WT or convention lecture will discuss the great "Falling away" of the 60's and 70's which led to the Great Apostasy, which in turn Satan used to turn people away via the internet.
