I know the Bible does forbid same-sex sex. Amongst fellas anyway. Plus it also says man is head over the woman, (although all that stuff is over 2000 years old). So it causes me some small amusement that our Queen Elizabeth is Head of the Church of England and also had to sign off the new law permitting same-sex marriage.

This is the recipe that I use. I vary it slightly by cooking a whole leg or shoulder of lamb immersed in the curry then de-boning it and returning the meat into the pot. It takes a couple of hours. The bone adds a lot of flavour during cooking. i'm sure most here who've questioned or left behind their belief in god have encountered this question - without god, what basis can there be for morality?
my exwife, when i admitted that i was an atheist, once asked me "if you don't believe in god, what's to stop you from going out and raping and murdering?
" previously, whenever i got this objection, i would tend to turn it around on the other person with a response along the lines of "if fear of god is the only thing that stops you from murdering, that makes me rather nervous to be around you.
When I left the JW's, I did some of the bad things. Later I felt like shit about them all. Then I realised that true morality comes from within. If you don't listen to that little voice telling you no, then you will feel like an absolute turd whether you believe in God or not. So something is operating somewhere.
