  Jehovah's Witnesses ARE Christians, why do so many ex JW's deny this?

  jehovah's witnesses accept jesus as christ, the son of god.

  they try, in their own way, to live by his teachings and imitate him.

  they pray, read the bible and meet together regularly for worship.. i won't minimise any of the harm and damage they cause but for the life of me, i can't see how anyone can credibly deny that they are christians.. why do so many former jws have a problem with this?

  i've heard some weird stories coming from jws about the paranormal.

  i know about the warnings about items that come from unbelievers -- those don't interest me as much.

  what i am interested in are actual experiences in stories of the paranormal you've heard or experienced yourself.

  I have heard stuff from JWs but not from those that it has been happening to. For example my (former) friend told me about a couple where the man is an elder an the wife is pioneer, and they had to move from their house because there was some kind of activity in it. True or not I have no idea, but the funny thing is I know they had african masks on their wall in their apartment before moving in to this house. I am not religious or spiritual any longer but I don't know if I would want to have african masks on my wall. Interesting coincidence though.

  in lands where there is no love of god or freedom, jehovah's witnesses are being persecuted for speaking about the good news of the kingdom.

  why are these lovers of peace being persecuted?

  god's word tells us: "all who are living in godly devotion in association with christ jesus will also be persecuted.

  It's funny because when my parents read it for me I only took it for a cool storybook. And I never got the impression of that this was real stories you should believe in and take them very seriously.
