Thank you for posting the videos. It just makes me sick. And I can not believe what on organization I got myself into ...

I wish I had researched the internet better, 12 -15 years ago when I decided to join the religion.

I think we should start blogs and webpages and put our stories out there, make the truth about this org. public, so that other people know what they are getting themselves into before they get baptised. The more websites with the truth about who the wt really is, the better!

Who or What is the Holy Spirit?

tradition within christianity has long been that any time the phrases holy spirit, holy ghost, or spirit of godare used in the bible (especially in the new testament), it always refers to the mysterious third divine person of the trinity, who is fully god, co-equal to the father and son, yet somehow distinct.. i want to present a simplified alternative view: let the context determine the meaning!.

(one thing to keep in mind is that the meaning of the bible words used for spirit basically is unseen force or invisible presence.).

it seems like there has not been as much discussion here about the rc testimony on day 6 (4th august) as there has been about previous days.

i was quite surprised by rodney spinks' testimony, which was a marked contrast to the bungling and inarticulate testimony of the elders that appeared before him.

spinks seemed reasonably co-operative, and a lot more willing to concede points than anyone else has been.

A false display of humility. - always saying sorry or I apologize, but when asked why he uses the word "land" instead of "country" he asked back the prosecutor "how many lands are there in the world"

What was he trying to prove? That the prosecutor does not even know the number of "lands" but jw's have authority over people of "lands"all over the world? or what? was his pride getting out of him after having had to answer so many questions?

i'm reading some documents from the royal commission and i don't get it, why so much concern for the accused and his reputation???
