Today's daily text made me laugh!

Basic Bible and Religious Vocabulary the Watchtower Never Teaches
by CalebInFloroda inwhen i began formal study of religion and biblical analysis it was like peeling off layer after layer of dark matter, sticky and putrid that had stuck over my eyes and ears and mouth.
i learned that under the watchtower one only builds a widening gap between yourself and the world of biblical academia and scholars.
i used to think i knew a lot because i learned to quote a few scholars or lexicons as a witness.

Caleb,
love your posts! Thank you for this info.
On religious vocabulary. I recently realised the true christian hope is the heavenly one. And that the ones going to heaven will come back on earth when Jesus does and will reign / administer the earth for 1000 years under Jesus' Kingship.
I think those people will be somehow transformed and have a "glorified" body. A body similar to the one Jesus had after resurrection.
I find it difficul to express my new found beliefs. JW's vocabulary does not include so many words and expressions for the heavenly hope, for what happens to peple baptised with the holy spirit ...
I know there are denominations who believe what I do now, I suppose I'll have to start reading their materials to find my words.

If disfellowshipping so important why is it not mentioned one time in the bible teach book
by poopie inif it is what page.
-
paradisebeauty
It would be normal to mention this to people who study to join the religion.
Also something very important they do not mention: that they consider Jesus the mediator between Jehovah and only the 144.000
They say they are looking for honest people but they are anything but honest. They are so deceiving!!!

Russell's sources for his ideas - a diagram of what Apocalypse Delayed Ch. 1
by ILoveTTATT2 inaccording to apocalypse delayed, russell got many of his ideas from a conference called albury park.. .
here are the sources of his ideas for eschatology:.
and lastly, here are the sources for the ideas that jw's claim make them "the truth": rejection of the trinity, hell, and the inmortal soul..

Russell the copycat
Though the watchtower today could use some copycat skills because other people and denominations have brighter lights about what's coming.
But they are too puffed up to admit they are wrong

JW's are semi-trinitarians and do not understand the Sacret Secret
by paradisebeauty ini have been searching pro and anti arguments for trinity, and found out there are anti-trinitarians who believe jesus did not preexist before his human life.
and i am thinking, it kind of makes sense.
what if yahweh created a second adam.

To redeem human kind god needed a human being that did not have the adamic sin. So He created one.
God can give whatever power and knowledge He wants to give.
So, He gave incredible power and knowledge to this second son that he created directly.

This reminds me when I changes my religion on my Facebook profile to "Christian" over Jehovah's Witness.
A brother told me that when he hovers over the word "Christian" on my profile, it appears an image with a cross.
I told him I could not find on facebook a page named "Christian" that had the tower as it's image, so I chose the page named "Christian" that appeared first and had most likes.

"THE TRUTH" & "THE WAY"
by Nicholaus Kopernicus inwhen speaking of "the truth" jehovah's witnesses may have in mind several contexts, including.... "... the entire body of christian teachings that has become part of the bible..." w08 12/15 p. 27-p. 29 par.
13and/or the body of knowledge determined by the "... highest ecclesiastical authority for the faith of jehovah's witnesses..." which is arrived at and sanctioned by the governing body and as stated by gerrit losch in his legal submission to the supreme court of california in february 2014.indeed, most jehovah's witnesses may not discriminate between these two perspectives and will likely envisage the body of knowledge determined by the gb as synonymous with that stated in the aforementioned 2008 wt magazine ("entire body of christian teachings").
however, a number of dissenting/analytical jehovah's witnesses, former congregants, etc., will discern an increasing gulf between that which is scripturally derived / determined, and the body of knowledge arrrived at by the gb.gerrit losch in the following magazine article "w12 8/1 p. 28 champions of the truth" is noted as having asked....''how do we know we have the truth?

There are not two classes of christians! They do not get this.
What 99% of the jw hope for is the hope of the unjust. People who never heard of Yah will be resurected as fleshly unsaved people in the millennial kingdom. Those will "benefit" of the Christ's sacrifice and kingdom.
Christians inherit the earth and they receive salvation not just "benefits" from Christ's sacrifice.
And Christians do come back back on earth with Jesus to really rule and administrate the kingdom.

It goes like this:
Anointed Christians knew that 1914 would mark a turning point regarding divine rulership. As soon as they discerned the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, they boldly declared to others that God’s rule had begun. Today, with so much evidence that God’s Kingdom is already established in heaven, why do the majority of people not accept what this means? Why are they not able to connect the dots, so to speak, between the state of the world and specific Bible prophecies that God’s people have long been publicizing? Could it be that most people are focusing attention on just what they can see with their eyes? (2 Cor. 5:7) Does their preoccupation with human affairs blind them to what God is doing? (Matt. 24:37-39) Are some of them distracted by the noise of satanic propaganda? (2 Cor. 4:4) It takes faith and spiritual perception to see what is happening in the spirit realm. How glad we can be that we are not blind to what is really going on! w14 1/15 5:6, 7
The GB is the only blind one! Still dwelling in the illusion that Christ's reign began in 1914. I wonder where they see the "so much evidence that God’s Kingdom is already established in heaven". Spiritual perception? They have none, still believing some stupid conclusions drawn from measuring the pyramids and some crazy ideas of the self proclaimed "judge" Rutherford who decided to create 2 classes of christians ...
After much study I came to believe the "magnificent 7" have no idea what they are taking about. It's nothing but a bluff!!!
But unfortunately, so many people are deceived by them ... -

WT Mantras / Thought Stoppers
by Ding ini've been thinking about how the gb controls jws through the use of short phrases or scripture quotes (often partial quotes ripped out of context).. think of the sound-bite responses you know jws are going to give you in response to points you try to make to them.. ones that come to my mind immediately are:.
-- "the light gets brighter and brighter.".
-- "who, then, is the faithful and discreet slave?".

"Jehovah always had an organization"
No, he did not "always" have an organization. Out of 6000 years of human history, how many years did Yah have an organization. And out of those years, how long was the organization acting on Yah's will. The kings of Israel, most of the times persecuted and kill Yahweh's prophets.
