Also in Luke 22:29, where jw's read "covenant for a kingdom", no other translation has the word "covenant" there.

The disciples were fighting who would be the greatest, and Jesus calmed them down: don't worry, my Father gave me the kingdom, and I assign it to you, the 12 of you will judge the 12 tribes of Israel.

And if you look in revelation chapter 21 or 22, the new Jerusalem has 12 gates with the apostles' names on each of them.

But the JW's say that God took the kingdom from the Jews to give it to them ... would God exchange some pharisees for other pharisees?

Why I have renounced Atheism and become a believer again

i have always said that if a god showed itself i would follow the evidence and renounce my atheism.

i have now seen enough to start believing again, i am so happy, i feel a inner contentment, when he connected with me i really knew it was him.

if you are not a believer you will not understand this, but trust me, look at the evidence, open your heart to him, let him in and your life will change for the better.

Don't believe in the jw doctrine (because it is not Biblical), I believe in God, in His Son Jesus and I read the Bible.

Can disassociated ones get reinstated without proving repentance?

one of the jw high-ups questioned by the australian royal commission (i think it was o'brien) stated that those who had disassociated (as opposed to being disfellowshipped) do not have to undergo a lengthy reinstatement procedure of proving repentance over many months, but can simply ask to be reinstated immediately.

is this true?

has anyone heard of this ever happening?.

One brother also moaned about DA'd brothers or sisters walking straight back to the WTS, saying something along the lines of "she can do what she wants for a number of years, while we ['the faithful'] have to suffer being JWs".

If the JW's would do any thinking they'd realize that the easiest way to get to paradise is for people who never learned the "truth" because their doctrine states the "unjust" will be resurrected in paradise just like all the hard working jw's.

As you can see, they donated 19.000.000 punds to "further religious education overseas"- I guess these are money donated to the watchtower in US

Because if they will look into practices, I think sending some complains to the uk commission about their shunning practices maybe would make them change things in the future.

I think the authorities that approve charities in countries need to be informed about the practice of "shunning" in JW land.

Normally a charity should not harm people.

If they do, they should not call themselves "a charity".

I am thinking if a human rights commission looking into this practice of shunning could maybe change things.

It is not normal for an org. who pretends to be a charity to do this to people. Not in today's world.

Especially that there are people who get baptized as young as 9 -10. If they change their mind when they grow up, they have to face this cruel treatment.

Thank you for posting the videos. It just makes me sick. And I can not believe what on organization I got myself into ...

I wish I had researched the internet better, 12 -15 years ago when I decided to join the religion.

I think we should start blogs and webpages and put our stories out there, make the truth about this org. public, so that other people know what they are getting themselves into before they get baptised. The more websites with the truth about who the wt really is, the better!
