I have looked at Irish names but I'm never sure how on earth your say them but some are very pretty.
Not my first child and already have a little girl who's name I love, so its hard to find one to go with her's and our stupid surname. I used to really like Eden for a girl but now I'm not so sure.... It's a bit biblely and I heard a really chavvy boy talking about his sister who was called Eden and it kind of put me off.
It's so difficult choosing and knowing it will be their name forever....

Why don't parents of an abused child go straight to police, why go to an elder first??
by FeelingFree ini hope i don't come across as judgemental but having read a lot on the current child abuse cases and the different threads on here, i am left wondering why on earth a parent of an abuse victim would go to an elder with the problem first and not straight to police?.
as a parent myself i know that if anything like that happend to my child (this applies to when i was still an active jw as well as now) i would not hesitate in going to the authorities as soon as i found out, it wouldn't of crossed mine or my husbands mind to go to an elder.
maybe after we had reported it but definitely never as the first port of call.

Gregor - Thank goodness you found that letter! Well done for reporting the disgusting creep. I don't know how that other family could not warn you either especially as they could see it happing all over again, what kind of person just keeps their mouth shut and lets it happen to another child?! Everything within the org is F'd up espcially when it comes to this subject.
