How many in the halls will realise what it means? And understand? And how many will start to awake up in response?

I don't think it will matter to most of the r&f.

When it comes right down to it - they will still believe it is 'The Truth' and will sit it out thinking that, at least, they will be the ones that see 'paradise'. They will be secure in their 'knowledge' that they, at least, 'stayed faithful to the end'.

It won't even matter if the Watchtower Society crashes and burns...they will still be waiting on Jehovah.

Faithful to the end....playing their violins while the WTS burns.

People are basically selfish - the r&f, individually, will smugly think that..."ahhh....so it is ME that is the special one...I will survive....after all, the WTS are ONLY MEN...and Jehovah will fix things....and bless ME."

The WTS may fall...but there will always be those who need to believe they are special - and there will always be a cult that will be available for them to insulate themselves against real life.

Okay. That makes sense. I will go with the photo's accuracy over the Watchtower account.

So that means that my inherent distrust of the Watchtower's revisionist history is, yet again, proven to be right.

Sokay, Apo...I am quite used to being misunderstood.

And, what makes it even harder to be clear about issues is wading through the murky bullshit that is put out by the GB and the Watchtower Society. It is really easy to get confused when wading through the muck.

I feel pity for the poor judge that had to deal with the Watchtower Lawyer's arguments as to why the Society wouldn't cough up the discovery documents or the witness that the court asked for. If my position is hard to understand, just thank your lucky stars you didn't have to be the one on the bench.

About the Morris thread - again...I was not the one who claimed that Morris may have a different name than what he goes by. My post was just a response with a photo that substantiated what the entire thread prior to my post claimed. My post was just what it appeared to be and nothing more - just some more circumstantial evidence to add to what had already been written.

There are plenty of people who remember the GB members when they were DOs, COs, and elders, back to their original congregations..... They are born-ins and converts who rose up through the ranks to where they are now.

That is EXACTLY the point I was trying to make.

I was not the one that claimed the GB have nothing to do with the running of the Society - LOSCH SAID THAT. Not me. Read the documents before you take my comment out of context.

My questioning was in response to what was claimed by Losch.

Maybe Russia has just figured out what the Watchtower Society is up to - according to actual court transcripts from Russia - the Watchtower Society's lawyer's argument as to why the JWs should be allowed to set up camp in Russia is because the Society has over 200 doctors waiting to use advanced surgical procedures on them.

Nice...the Society went to the trouble of making sure there is medical staff all lined up to take care of all those JWs that the Society LOVES and tells to refuse lifesaving blood transfusions.

If you like...or if you can't find those Russian court transcripts yourself, I will search them out for you.

Thank you, Ann, for posting that link to the court document concerning the discovery papers and why Losch refuses to testify.

Apparently, Losch just 'appeared' out of nowhere (sort of...he says he came from Austria) and, up to the point in time that he became blessed with a position on the governing body, that he had no function whatsoever in the Society's business before that. I don't buy that - that is not how the Society works. However, Losch claims to the court that the GB does NOT have anything at all to do with the Society itself. Oh. Well then, who really is running the Society's affairs??

And it is just laughable how the Society lawyer side steps having to produce documents - claiming that it would take years and cost so much. Whatever happened to all the volunteers that the Society claims donate their work for free? And why would the Society bother to collect all that information on pedophiles and not file it properly?

It makes no sense whatsoever and I think that the bullshit meter is hitting pretty high on this one.

Knowing the Russian govt's recent enmity toward JWs, I'm not fully convinced of the accuracy of the report. We cannot rule out the possibility of trumped up charges in this case. I take the report with a grain of salt.

This is my theory as to why the Watchtower Society needs so much money now.

The field of biotechnology is a high risk venture. With all the circumstantial evidence out there that the Society is heavily invested in blood management, it stands to reason that something more than child abuse cases is driving the demand for more money. The field of biotechnology is hugely financially demanding.

The Society has already revealed its investments in bloodless medicine by its shameless promotion of the bloodless industry for years now - and all that costs big bucks. Almost all of the bloodless centers in the US are managed and staffed by Jehovah's Witnesses. The Health Care system in Australia exists through the efforts of two prominent JWs - Farmer And Hoffman.

Where is the Society money going? I think it is being sucked up by the demands of a developing bloodless technology industry.

Why is the Society behaving the way they are in regards to the child abuse settlements? Well, it provides a good smoke screen for the activities that the Society doesn't want anyone taking a close look at - how closely and tightly they are involved with bloodless medicine. A few million is nothing to throw out there when there are billions at stake in biotechnology research.

Biotechology investments will be taking a huge chunk of all those 'donations' to the 'worldwide work'.

Yup - you can call me a conspiracy theorist now. Lol!

i have words that irritate me and not always without reason.. my latest hate is the word: 'solutions' as used by so many businesses in their title these days.

y'know, 'something innane business solutions' and such balderdash.. i loathe that word now.
