i thought at the end, stewart made brilliant use of scripture (about establishing fornication or other sexually immoral practises) how, in such a clever way stewart used scripture to point out that some one could basically stake out someone's house to see if a person stayed over night be they homosexual or heterosexual............that on the basis of a sort of stakeout, the two witness rule was ambivalent yet it prevailed.

due to sufficient suspicion.. and therefore why did this "suspicion" not prevail with child sexual abuse.

Well, he is half right.

The problem often only occurs once that bad person wants to return. Then they have to face a Judicial Hearing to get back in...and they could be disfellowshipped at that point. And have to sit in the back row for a year or so...whatever those oh so wise elders decide.

And, I too, know people who have faced "no problems". My father for one. And my older brother. Both inactive - faded. But never a problem.

My mother was disfellowshipped for "unChristian like behavior". She worked in a bar. Two elders went in the bar and watched her at work. My sister was put on probation by the elders for a year after she was raped.

Sorry, but I disagree. Jackson is a consumate liar and a bad actor who thinks he is the star on stage. He knows his lines but has no human compassion. He is a jerk.

Yeah. He got caught with is pants down on the empathy test.

At someplace near the beginning in his testimony he got all snotty with Stewart and said "I can't speak for a woman" and "I cannot know what a woman feels".

And then he winds up with "My heart goes out to her" and "It was a horrible trauma that she felt".

Geez,Jackson. Ya can't have it both ways.

Jackson has no concept of empathy. Yup. Just like I thought - an empty shell, not a bone of human decency in him. No truth to tell. An actor. Not a real man at all.
