  another member on here announced the publication of my new book "gifts in men, a heavier responsibility" a couple of months ago and some of you asked who i was as to my authenticity and motives.

  i have had an amazing reaction to my book even from jws who know me and my story but were still shocked at the details.

  i was not raised a jw, not disfellowshipped nor disassociated and loved being a regular pioneer, serving in uk and ireland.

  Good for your sister...not only did she not have to live with an abuser, she didn't have to die with one either.

  The WTS treats domestic abuse in the same way that they treat child abuse. As if it is a sin rather than a crime.

  Domestic abuse is a criminal matter, not a spiritual matter.

  The word "cannot' is crucial in your statement. The "cannot" is rarely the fault of the woman - it is the fault of society at large. If women could leave relationships and have the opportunity to earn enough to support herself and children, then fewer women would stay in abusive situations.

  Unfortunately, there is rarely a choice given for a woman to survive on her own. And, JW women are ill-equipped, for the most part, to enter into the work force and be independent.

  "These women" who "cannot survive on their own" have been forced to accept the role that the WTS has given them, they do not have the skills to survive on their own and have been restricted from seeking help elsewhere. The JW religion cuts their hamstrings. They can't run. They don't know how.

  SSC: I guess unscriptural divorce was out of the question and she payed the price.

  Yes...the article shows that the JWs were more concerned with trying to convert her husband than they were with the woman's safety.

  This is confirmation that the role of women in the JWs is bait for the men that they can trap. What happens to the woman doesn't matter as long as the man takes the bait.

  And, if he doesn't convert, well...then they can blame Satan.

  If that isn't enough "verification", then I don't know what to say...other than...what would convince you? The document looks pretty authentic to me. If it wasn't, I would think that the US Securities and Exchange Commission could be in a bit of trouble.

  I won't address the "homosexual" part of your statement, but if you really are interested in the provision of statistical information on the prediction of becoming an adult perpetuator after being abused as a child, the following study will provide it for you:

  Cycle of child sexual abuse: links between being a victim and becoming a perpetrator

  Abstract
  Background There is widespread belief in a ‘cycle’ of child sexual abuse, but little empirical evidence for this belief.
  Aims To identify perpetrators of such abuse who had been victims of paedophilia and/or incest, in order to: ascertain whether subjects who had been victims become perpetrators of such abuse; compare characteristics of those who had and had not been victims; and review psychodynamic ideas thought to underlie the behaviour of perpetrators.
  Method Retrospective clinical case note review of 843 subjects attending a specialist forensic psychotherapy centre.
  Results Among 747 males the risk of being a perpetrator was positively correlated with reported sexual abuse victim experiences. The overall rate of having been a victim was 35% for perpetrators and 11% for non-perpetrators. Of the 96 females, 43% had been victims but only one was a perpetrator. A high percentage of male subjects abused in childhood by a female relative became perpetrators. Having been a victim was a strong predictor of becoming a perpetrator, as was an index of parental loss in childhood.
  Conclusions The data support the notion of a victim-to-victimiser cycle in a minority of male perpetrators but not among the female victims studied. Sexual abuse by a female in childhood may be a risk factor for a cycle of abuse in males.

  Illuminated, your statement that most child abusers were not victims themselves is correct. However, the above study does show that being a child victim has a bearing on some perpetuators. Not all and not most...but it does have a bearing. In the perpetuator group, 35% had been child victims and in the non-perpetuator group, 11% had been victimized.

  The above study identifies several other factors that will have a bearing and it is the combination of those factors that need to be considered. Being a child victim is only one of the contributing factors.

  i have noticed that the jws are participating in meetings organized by the osce.

  they are registered or participate under the "european association of jehovah's christian witnesses".

  one point highlighted in this organization is tolerance.

  TheWonderof you: ...such info is not available for the members or reported because many would see a tegular contact to government or diplomates as contradiction to doctrine.

  Not only that, but the JW members might actually become aware of individual human rights and make the connection that the WTS does not respect their own members' human rights,

  The WTS does not want their members to get interested in any human rights issue except for the right to practice their religion and the right to die or let your children die.

  About the alleged "pornography ring"...

  What the judical system allows for, in real terms, is the production, collection and storage of child sex abuse material.

  You can call it documentation of judical proceedings if you like, but the reality of it is that it is a process undertaken by men that do not have the legal authority to generate material dealing with child sex abuse.

  The stories (testimony) that a child gives to an adult man about being raped are vulnerable to being used as child sex abuse material.

  Not only that, but the judical process allows for the rapist to have an audience for those stories to be told. He gets to fulfill his sexual fantasies with an audience...usually with the child he raped actually giving the account. This process feeds into the rapist's and the elders' voyeuristic need for exposure to "forbidden sex" stories.

  When I listened to the RC in Australia, I was puzzled by the number of times that BCH asked for reinstatement and then did not get reinstated because he wasn't repentant. If BCH genuinely wanted to be reinstated, he would have faked repentance. The reinstatement wasn't the issue that BCH wanted to discuss - he wanted to hear all about those sex stories that the elders were going to discuss with him. BCH was getting off on the judical process.

  The whole judical process handling child rape is a pornography setup. The testimony that the elders collect, document and store falls under the umbrella of child sex abuse material. Just because it isn't being distributed publicly doesn't mean that it doesn't serve the same purpose - those child sex stories are vulnerable to being used for the purpose of pornographic stimulation. Pornography does not have to be an image for it to be classified as pornography - the "testimony" that the elders diligently pursue, and keep so secret, is pornographic in nature.

  It should be illegal for the elders to be involved in the investigation of any child sex abuse allegation. The potential for abuse of the system is huge. Huge. Just think of the amount of written material that has been produced by unqualified elders that concerns sex acts with minors.

  Why is the WTS allowed to produce, collect and store the stories of sex with minors? Nobody else is allowed to do that unless they are professionals. Anyone else doing that would have their asses thrown in jail and the key thrown away. Tell me where else an adult man (a window washer) gets to interview children about their experiences in having sex with an adult. And gets to write it down, and gets to discuss it with other men, and then....gets to see and hear that child give details in the same room as the man who raped them.

  The judical system of the JWs is perversion at its finest. In any other setting, what is done in the JW judical process would absolutely be called the production of pornographic material.

  ADD: we who have walked outside the cult box should be using the word rape or brutal rape instead of child abuse. Child abuse is just too weak of a word for what is really happening.

  I totally agree. The term "child abuse" is not strong enough and also is not descriptive of what is actually happening.

  Children are being RAPED.

  The JWs have a systemic problem with child rape and child sexual assault.
  

  The abuse within the JWs is systemic. Many of the men that you spoke about in your OP could have been abused themselves. It is a cycle where the abuse gets played out over and over again throughout generations and the structure of the organization as a patriarchal institution compounds the problem. In a patriarchal society, children (and women) are viewed as property, not people.
