  Thanks for posting these images. I find Beth Shan to be fascinating.

  The history of this place is really odd - it was at the Children of the King assemblies in 1941 that Rutherford talked to the children about a "Real live Prince and Real live Princess" that would rule in the new world. That would have been when this highly secure location was built for the family of Wm Heath to live in. His children were Deborah and Barack - the prince and princess.

  Is it the congregations and are they invoiced?

  May 1 2014 letter to BOE:
  Requesting public witnessing equipment: The Congregation Service Committee will determine the equipment to be requested and where it will be stored. Public witnessing equipment can be requested in the same way publications are requested. We are pleased to pro- vide a document entitled Public Witnessing Supplies (S-80) that contains sample pictures and descriptions of standard carts, stands, tables, and kiosks. The equipment will remain the property of the congregation. Care should be taken to request only equipment that will be put to good use by publishers who have been trained in its use. The congregation may be informed that the cost of these carts will be covered by their contributions to the worldwide work.

  Have you ever known a holocaust denier? How did you feel about them?

  i sometimes did work for a lovely old couple who at times needed repairs done around their home.

  my wife and myself spent time with them, having tea and crackers from time to time.

  one day the husband and myself got into a conversation and he clearly showed himself to be a holocaust denier.

  Thanks jwleaks - very interesting. Especially the bit about The Finished Mystery. I hadn't considered that the WT literature may have had an influence on Hitler's writings. After I read Mein Kampf, I had the thought that Rutherford had read Hitler's book and used Hitler's template of structural power to model the WTS organizational changes that were implemented in the late 20s and early 30s.

  ...the jehovah's witnesses, or bible students as they were then known, went greatly ignored by the Nazi party during the lead up to and commencement of WW2. They were not singled out for persecution or attack. They were tolerated if not ignored.

  That could have something to do with the lawyers that the German WTS employed - two(?) of their lawyers were Nazi party members

  Ilsa told me that both Rudolph Hess and Adolph Hitler eventually decided that the Watchtower, aka bible students, and Rutherford were trying to cause divisions on behalf of the US government.

  That is understandable, considering that Rutherford employed the help of the US government to get his precious printing presses released under the terms of the Versailles Treaty after the first time the presses were seized

  In my opinion, Rutherford and the jehovah's witnesses around the world share the blame in stirring up trouble when none existed.

  jwleaks: ... I did personally know Ilse Hess, wife of Rudolph Hess, Deputy Führer to Adolf Hitler. She died in 1995 in Victoria, Australia, in my home town. She knew my grandmother, Oma, who also came to Australia after WW2. My Oma was the granddaughter of King Leopold II of the Belgians. Ilse's revelations to me about the JWs, aka Bible Students, were in complete contrast to Watchtower's own sanitised historical revisionism.

  That is very interesting.Would you be able to expand on those contrasting revelations? Thanks

  That is not a fair question so I won't answer it.

  I love talking and sharing about art, especially when it is art that the person I am talking to have done themselves.

  Art is communication, pure and simple. And I like to speak honestly about the piece under discussion.

  Your question reveals a common misconception about what art and artists are. The standard refrain of "Huh...my six-year old could do that" or something similar is a non-productive position to take.

  So. Tell me. You say it. You posted this and you say these are not gallery pieces. Tell me...be honest in your communication. It is your responsibility to be clear about the art - art is not a game.

  I do really like both pieces. The way the paint has been handled with complete joy and passion in the second painting is beautiful. I don't care how old the person is who executed it - whoever the artist was, they had joy in doing it and that joy has been communicated.

  And that is what art is about - communication. Art making is a language.

  Rebel, please, tell us more about the art you posted. The one who posts the art answers questions from the viewer - they don't ask them questions, the art does that.

  Who did these? How large are they? What kind of paint? What surface?

  Rebel, I think you have taken these photos at a gallery - you can see the frames on the sides. If you had done these paintings, I think you would have given more information and included the entire pieces.

  I love the second one - a passion for paint. they could be yours...it is hard to tell without context.

  I had made a post first that said I thought these were yours but I changed my mind and did a re-post.

  As a part time artist, I will post a painting I did about 3 years ago.

  It is a self portrait and measures 4 ft x 5 ft
