It was an honest reaction
I "liked" your comment - it summed up what I wanted to say perfectly
so, you left because of a bad example(s).. why all the whining?
nothing better to do with your time?.
you at least know far more about the bible than any church-goer?.

The Name of God
Documentary Film,
DVD, 58 minutes in 2014
(languages: German, English, French, Danish)
. The only name of God, YHWH, appears in more than 6,000 times in the Hebrew Scriptures
and there is no doubt what we "sanctify" this name, as taught by the "Our Father"
Yet millions of Jews and Christians do not do not even know the divine name. Their prayers addressed to God, so often seems unclear what is meant Lord -. The "Lord" Jesus or "Lord" God
is more important, the title "Lord" has a connotation disconcerting once you know that "Lord" is "Baal" means in the ancient languages of Babylon
This documentary examines whether the concealment of name God is really in harmony with the original Scriptures - and far more, is the correct pronunciation of YHWH can be found again.

last night at the midweek meeting was a part titled "pray for those in prison" or something like that.. they showed a video all about the witnesses in russia and the court battles they've been fighting of late and the hard time they have been having because of it all.. the first thing that struck me, hey, why don't you a** holes in brooklyn send these poor sods a few rubles to help them along?.
nah!
prayer is what they need.. anyway, i hadn't really followed the story so i thought i would look it up this morning and see what was in the media about the story.. on the npr website they had a big write up about it back in may of last year.... http://www.npr.org/sections/parallels/2016/05/17/476898973/russias-jehovahs-witnesses-fight-extremist-label-possible-ban.
undercover: It is troubling that Russia is clamping down on, not just JWs, but any religion/sect that doesn't meet their strict interpretation of what is acceptable worship.
Something that is critical about the Jehovah's Witnesses worship/practice that puts them in a unfavorable position in Russia is the JWs' religious practice of insisting on Jehovah Law as superior to the existing secular law.
'Acceptable worship' in Russia does not mean that, for example, a Muslim sect can practice and attempt to establish Sharia law. A Muslim sect that tries to establish Sharia law will be banned and likewise, when the JWs insist on preaching that it is Jehovah law that must prevail upon all people, they can expect to be labelled "extremist" and banned as well.
The JWs do not respect "earthly" government. And they are proud of it. They jump up and down and cheer for the destruction of government, so it can be replaced with Jehovah Law, at the very same time that they walk around and try to claim that they are "politically neutral".
The JWs claim to be a religion but their purpose and practice is very political.

Okay.
I have a really serious question that I forgot to ask Richard.
(sorry about the train wreck, respectful observer. It happens. Just trying to pull bodies out of the wreck...I am feeling responsible for some reason)
Back to Richard. The train was sliding off the rails when I made a post a ways back where I quoted you and said this:
" The Navajo nation is very happy that Watchtower is trying to present information in that language..."
Says who? The Watchtower?
Then, after some more swaying and bumping on the train, you came back later with a post that quoted an article saying this:
Dr. Ricardo Ma. Duran Nolasco, professor at the Department of Linguistics in the University of the Philippines-Diliman and a leading advocate of the MTB-MLE, agreed on a currently “compelling need for quality instructional materials in local languages for the early grades.”
Nolasco said he was glad that local publishing institutions, such as Watch Tower Society, were filling this need by producing reading materials and videos in local languages, including Filipino Sign Language, that can be used as supplementary materials to help pupils in their studies.
Were you posting that article as a source for your comment about the happy Navajo nation? Because, if you are, that is pretty offensive. And not at all the kind of "academic" research that you mentioned earlier. Jus' sayin'

RO: The court of appeals accepted the appeal on 8/26 so they put a stay on the sactions till a ruling is made.

I didn't dismiss what you said. I didn't deny the statement that followed your "I am sure" pronouncement.
I was just holding you accountable for what you said. I wanted confirmation that was more than just "I am sure"
There is a difference. I notice that you have a habit of jumping to conclusions about what people say on this forum. Maybe you should work on that. You know...get your facts straight
january 19, 2017 to all bodies of elders in wales re: prerecorded memorial and special talk 2017 - welsh.
RO: I am sure that...
That's nice.
What do you base your surety on?
What happened to "only facts, folks...give me facts and only facts"?

RO: ... if they do qualify for a grant that is not competitive and is formula based, they will apply for it and take it.
Thank you for confirming that.
The WTS takes advantage of the government granting systems. Just like I have thought.
The WTS is not fully subsidized by donations. The donations, though, do serve a purpose within most granting systems for non-profits. In order to "meet the requirements" for receiving funds, organizations have to show the agency distributing those grants that a certain percentage of their operating costs is supported by donations from their members.
Without the required amount of donations to present to those granting agencies, the WTS* would fail to qualify for certain grants.
*edit to add - the WTS is probably the wrong term to use. I would suspect that most of the grants for jw..org are run through the corporate structure call the "CCJW".

RO: Outlaw. Then if you know that why did you call them a first world nation.
Oh Richard. Outlaw didn't call "them" a first world nation.
Outlaw said: "1st Nations People"
Google it, Richard. You can add that to your "facts" file
january 19, 2017 to all bodies of elders in wales re: prerecorded memorial and special talk 2017 - welsh.
Richard, google searching that information doesn't show that you know how the granting system works.
You miss the whole point of why I am making a big deal out of this.
You had said that governments offer grants to the WTS.
You made it sound like the WTS was approached with a gift and they just simply said "oh, thank you very much"
To repeat - the granting system does not work like that
