Jehovah's Witnesses accept Jesus as Christ, the Son of God.
But they don't accept that Jesus is God.
That is the defining difference between JWs and mainstream Christianity
jehovah's witnesses accept jesus as christ, the son of god.
they try, in their own way, to live by his teachings and imitate him.
they pray, read the bible and meet together regularly for worship.. i won't minimise any of the harm and damage they cause but for the life of me, i can't see how anyone can credibly deny that they are christians.. why do so many former jws have a problem with this?

Many years ago, a Lutheran pastor told me that Jehovah's Witnesses weren't "Christians".
I was puzzled until she explained it to me. She said that the reason JWs weren't considered Christian is because they don't accept that Jesus was God. JWs reject the divinity of Jesus and therefore are not 'real' Christians.
Apparently, 'real' Christians believe that Jesus was God...not just a special angel.
i just received the following message from a friend this morning.. barbara.
eloise dupuis, 27 years old, died at the hotel dieu hospital in lévis, quebec, canada, wednesday, october 12th.
she died because of her religious principles.
Humph. That's interesting.
When I first read this article on CBC, the comment section was open and there were many comments, and almost all of them were critical of the JWs. Today, all the comments are gone and the comment section is no longer open.
Someone must not have liked what was being said.
how many jw’s die each year for want of a blood transfusion?
according to the red cross and various national blood banks 4.5 million american lives are saved each year by blood transfusions.

Giordano: I got to live 40 more plus years after 5 pints of blood
Awesome.
Just imagine if the entire world bought into the WT's blood doctrine. Just imagine how many people would have died without blood technology. If the JWs "have the truth"....then everyone who has used blood transfusions should have died.
Which is really strange. Because without blood transfusions, bloodless surgery would NOT have developed. Bloodless surgical methods were developed using existing blood technologies.
Without blood transfusion technology, JWs all over would not have the option of using so-called bloodless methods. The whole premise of the bloodless industry is built upon the avoidance of donor blood, even though those bloodless methods rely on drugs and products made from blood and involves blood transfusions - transfusions of a patient's own blood.
JWs aren't opposed to blood transfusions - they are opposed to sharing blood. They have a blood phobia that demands they keep their blood 'pure' and not contaminated.

Lookout: How many people receive blood transfusions, but then die?
Probably lots.
People receive blood in life threatening situations. Not everybody survives the trauma of blood loss, even with the help of a blood transfusion. Some medical events cannot be reversed.
However, the number of lives saved by blood transfusions is substantial. Mine was, for one. Blood saved my life. Blood from strangers who cared enough to be donors. Altruistic people donated blood so I could live.

Gio: There are no over all statistics about loss of life due to non acceptance of blood.
I think those stats exist. They are just not made public. The Hospital Information Services of the WT has been keeping meticulous records for decades - even before they were known as an arm of the WT.
The blood death list is carefully guarded inside the HIS archives. The numbers are there - we just aren't privy to them
I have never looked into sickle cell disease so was stunned that advanced cases call for 4 pints of blood a month to sustain a person's life. 36% of JW's are people of color who are most often the ones to get sickle cell. How many died from that disease by refusing blood?
Exactly.
And not just sickle cell disease. Hemophilia, leukemia, thrombocytopenia,....
The WT pushes bloodless surgery methods as the cure-all solution for blood refusal and yet surgery is only one condition that may require blood. And not all surgeries do. Yet the WT has promoted bloodless methods as the panacea for their ridiculous blood ban.
Doing a statistical analysis of mortality rates due to blood refusal almost always uses the stats from surgical procedures and ignores the numbers of people who require blood for other reasons. Traumatic injury deaths and deaths due to surgical procedure do not give the whole picture. It is a much, much larger problem than what surgical bloodless methods can address.

utah jehovah’s witnesses church forced woman to listen to audio of her rape, lawsuit says.
a woman is suing a jehovah's witnesses church in weber county after, she says, one of its instructors repeatedly raped her when she was a minor and the organization's leadership forced her to listen to an audio recording of one of the assaults.. the woman filed the lawsuit wednesday in 2nd district court, accusing the kingdom hall of jehovah's witnesses church in roy — as well as naming the alleged perpetrator, several church leaders and the watchtower bible and tract society (the religion's headquarters located in new york) — of knowingly allowing the "unfit" instructor to rise to a position of authority without warning members of his "dangerous propensities" and past sexual transgressions.. read more: http://www.sltrib.com/news/4465861-155/woman-sues-utah-jehovahs-witnesses-church.
Saename: Maybe it's the guy's fetish?
Well, if it was, the elders enabled his fetish to be acted out on upon the victim. She was forced to listen to 4/5 hours of the accused's recording. He must have really got off on that. Just like all the abusers do in judicial hearings....they like being able to face their accuser and have the victim re-live the experience. In front of others, too - a voyeuristic experience.
The JCs serve the desires of the accused. The JCs are just another acting out for the pervs - and one that is rewarded with 4 to 5 hours of their fetish being shared by a whole bunch of people - the victim, her parents, and the elders - they all get to participate in his sick desires, talk about it and listen to it.

from the article:
In April 2008, the Roy church formed a judicial committee to investigate whether the girl engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior — "a serious sin" in the religion. During the meeting that included her mother and stepfather, the lawsuit states, church leaders played a recording of one of the purported rapes, obtained from the instructor, for four to five hours "repeatedly stopping and starting the audio tape ... suggesting that she consented to the sexual behavior."
Question:
Why would the act have been recorded?

redvip: If there was an official reporting or news piece for this of some sort, it would be much easier to legitimize it. I googled it, but nothing.
skin: Waiting for a news article link on this to be posted.
Sadly, most of the deaths due to the blood ban will go unreported. The only ones that make the news are the cases that involve legal action. *to add - or some remarkable and miraculous JW patient saved thru miracles of bloodless medicine
In this woman's case, there likely wasn't legal action taken. The laws in most countries allow a woman to commit suicide and leave behind a baby to grow up without knowing its mother.
Literally thousands and thousands of these kinds of deaths have gone, and will go, unreported in the news. That is why a personal report like this is valuable. Thank you for sharing, Barbara.
despite that the sensational title „bad blood“ was selected to „scare?“ the public.
„bad blood - volte-face in intensive care medicine" by ulricke gehring, 2014. available in english .
its about the fight against public unawareness and resistance.
Next... Dr. Denton Cooley mentioned

That is quite the spin.
A ridiculous cherry picking of an important contribution to cardiac surgery. I wouldn't even know where to start...such a misrepresentation of medical history.
Vidiot: ...Early signs that the WT's "bloodless" med-tech gold mine is running dry, perhaps?
I don't know. I think it is simply an indication that red blood cells are still superior in all ways to synthetic products. Economically and safety-wise, blood outperforms alternatives.
In spite of the WT spin about blood being unsafe, expensive, etc, their blood myths just don't hold water - they don't stand up to scientific scrutiny or practice. A six sigma rating is pretty hard to beat, after all.
The WT blood myths are driven by superstition and phobias and $$$ and they have desperately manipulated science and evidence to bolster their position.
*to add - to comment on the title of this thread - the patient's body reaction to blood...never once does the PBM world or the BM industry (along with the WT propaganda), never once do they speak about the body's reaction to the alternatives to blood that they propose. Never once do they speak of the increased risks associated with the drugs and products used to build red blood cells or the synthetic blood substitute risks. Never once do they say how these alternative procedures have risks that exceed blood transfusions themselves
