Medical marijuana
by Mikethegreek inhey everyone.... i'm new to this but i would like to run my experience with medical marijuana past you.
i'm 48 years of age and have been in the truth for my whole life.. i suffer from ankylosing spondilitis and have for many many years.
it's a debilitating form of spinal arthritis and the symptoms of this auto-immune disorder affect more than my spine.

Do You Think Many Jehovah’s Witnesses Truly Believe?
by minimus ini did for many years even if i had doubts that i would put on the back burner.
but i thought the majority of witnesses believed, even if they were “weak” in the faith.. obviously, we have elders , pioneers and ministerial servants that are here and they are not true believers.. do you think many jws simply do not believe what they are preaching?
?.

They ALL believe in The Promise.
They believe they will be resurrected and get a chance to live forever.
That is the fundamental core belief that they all share. Nothing else matters. They will sell their family, their friends and their own soul for a chance at that Promise.

The Excuses JWs use for the child abuse mishandling issue...
by stuckinarut2 ini have noticed a pattern of regurgitated excuses and justifications used by the average jw if the topic of child abuse gets raised:.
"oh but jehovah's organization is setting the lead in how to handle this issue".
"why are you getting so hung up on this one issue?

Paleemperor: ..."alleged victims"
Would that be like the "alleged Guardians of Doctrine"
"alleged" governing body
Jehovah's "alleged" organization
And of course...the "alleged" Truth

Does anyone know of this guy, or agree with his statements on racial differences in IQ?
by Sugar Shane inhere are some quotes by the guy, from his youtube channel.
his name is stefan molyneux, and he’s apparently popular among the alt-right crowd.
he’s also widely quoted on these discussion boards, by certain ex-jws, who use him to help promote their political views.

Doc: NOT a politically correct thread.
Think I'll skip it.Me too
But for the reason that the "science" these "facts" have been derived from is incorrect
Incorrect research incorrectly done and incorrectly interpreted
Hogwash
Look up Rushton. The guy whose "work" these notions rest on - a Canadian prof that taught in eastern Canada - there are far more critics of his sloppy research than there are supporters. The only* place you will find Rushton believers is in politics and religion. Go figure
*That could be a hyperbole. I tend to go a bit overboard sometimes. Especially when the claim to facts is based on really really bad science

Image: Great Tribulation
by OrphanCrow inthe org's fear theme has really been emphasized recently- the bunker video and now the convention video with jws being pursued by guys with assault rifles.
this image comes from the watchtower july 2017 questions from readers: would it be fitting for a christian to keep a firearm, such as a handgun or a rifle, for protection against other humans?.
the caption for the image is this: during the great tribulation, christians will rely on jehovah and not try to defend themselves.

Magnum: edited to add: OK, so I just read the OP again. Now, I'm thinking that you're saying that it is a JW-produced pic and that another group used it.
Yeah, that is the general gist of it.
I was interested in how this image fits within the WT narrative - the bunker video in 2016, this image in 2017, and now...the Jesus saves video
The deliberate construction of the fear myth is evident in how the WT has presented them chronologically
Here is another thing.
I wonder if the WT/org will go after that Nigerian web site (truechristianity) for copyright violations. The same site sells books written by this fellow:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Kumuyi
William Folorunso Kumuyi (born 6 June 1941)[1][2] is the founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry situated at KM 42 on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Nigeria. He is the author of several books
.........
In April 2013, Kumuyi was named as one of the "500 most powerful people on the planet" and Deeper Christian Life Ministry named as "the World's largest Megachurch" by Foreign Policy magazine (FP) -

I did an image search for this illustration and found a cropped version of it on this site here:

Somebody in Nigeria must have read that Watchtower and figured that it fit well in their prediction of how the Great Tribulation will go down (it is likely a little difficult to find stock images of people being threatened with assault rifles)
