Hey everyone...
I'm new to this but I would like to run my experience with medical marijuana past you.
I'm 48 years of age and have been in the truth for my whole life.
I suffer from Ankylosing spondilitis and have for many many years. It's a debilitating form of spinal arthritis and the symptoms of this auto-immune disorder affect more than my spine. It has spread to my hips and even into my knees and ankles.
I've been prescribed many medications over the years but, honestly none seem to work for very long and as a construction worker I need to work.
Recently (3 years ago) I was prescribed medical marijuana by my doctors and I was reluctant on taking it. However I had given up on the OPIATES and the other addictive pharmaceutical drugs I'd been prescribed for many years and started with the medical marijuana. I don't smoke it, instead I take edible forms.
Jehovah be blessed because since I have started on the medical marijuana I've been able to attend meetings again and go door to door.
Some elders in my congregation are very against what I'm doing and have even suggested that i be disfellowshipped because of it.
I find that ridiculous!..It seems to them that i was a better brother when I was looped on opiates.
What do you think? What is the societies take on this?
