  VA shooting suspect was raised a JW! He mentions it on his Twitter account

  anyone in the usa following this morning's shooting "on-air" live tv will know what i'm talking about.

  bryce williams (not real name, but on-air name) shot and killed 2 people on live television this morning in roanoke, va. he was wearing a go-pro camera, and uploaded his first-person video onto his social media accounts.

  i've seen his twitter feed (before it was taken down), and not very far down he mentions being raised a jw.

  Gun control works well in other countries; the U.S. is notoriously horrible with both gun violence and portion of the population in jail (and length of prison time, and a ton of in-prison issues, etc.).

  Unfortunately, Pandora's Box has already been opened, and there are so many guns already circulating in the country that they're impossible to "ban" in any fashion at this point.

  Stricter regulations on obtaining them would be a HELP, but the pro-gun crowd has been made so paranoid by media, politics, and conspiracy lunatics that any forward legislation in that aspect would be taken as the first step to the government banning them, so they'd never go along with it at all.

  Africa for the Africans, Asia for the Asians, White Countries for Everyone!

  asia for the asians, africa for the africans, white countries for everybody!.

  everybody says there is this race problem.

  everybody says this race problem will be solved when the third world pours into every white country and only into white countries.. the netherlands and belgium are just as crowded as japan or taiwan, but nobody says japan or taiwan will solve this race problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.. everybody says the final solution to this race problem is for every white country and only white countries to assimilate, i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.. what if i said there was this race problem and this race problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into every black country and only into black countries?.

  Who writes a post about segregating races and puts "the final solution" in there?
  
  Also, since a couple posters apparently lack a scientific education, "race" only exists as a social grouping construct based on outward appearance, and has nothing to do with anything else. Most black Americans are genetically closer to "white" Americans than Africans, for instance. Grouping anyone based on outward coloration in that manner is one of the stupidest things I've heard of.

  What is their official explanation for not allowing beards?

  i ask because my gf, who knows all about my jw upbringing, convinced me to grow a goatee, just to see how it looks.

  we both decided it looked good so i decided to keep it.

  i tried to explain to her that as a jw, i wasn't allowed to grow one, but then drew a blank when she asked me why.

  This logic is such crap, and I've heard it as well. I work for the 6th and 66th largest corporations on the planet, and the grooming codes for them are officially "come with what you feel is appropriate" for both.
  
  It's funny how that has changed. It used to be "businessmen" but then you get people like Steve Jobs, etc. tearing up the world with beards. Last time I heard it, it was "the president of the United States doesn't have a beard!"

  Band Green Day and JWs

  a few years ago i heard of a story about two jw's being at a green day concert.

  i think that the witnesses were bethelites.

  the person that told me that story said that the band was about to play but they couldn't.

  Yahweh's creation that wasn't good!

  in genesis 1, describing the creative works of yahweh, it tells us in verses 24-28 that on the sixth creative day yahweh made both domestic animals and wild beasts.

  one of those two categories must have included dogs.

  so yahweh may lay claim to having created dogs.

  God didn't make dogs, that falls under Witness brand hyper evolution, since humans made them from wolves in 6000 years (as opposed to the ridiculously more lengthy documented time period it took humans to domesticate them). Problem solved.

  It's one of those things they conveniently ignore talking about, which they have to, because it's completely laughable to think that, scientifically, which completely kills the whole "the world is perfect, lamb will lie with the lion, original sin messed it up, spiders will apparently use webs to catch stray leaves" narrative they have going on.

  It's funny trapping witnesses with that, who still believe it.

  Why don't people in the US, UK or Euro-Citizens know anything about Jehovah's Witness Pedophile Issues and lawsuits?

  i know you all are aware of how little knowledge people have about jehovah's witnesses and topics men like bob bowen and women like barbara anderson tried to raise the level of public awareness that "the jehovah witness coming to your door might be a pedophile or child molester!

  " what's gone wrong, has the society outsmarted the media or do people not really care what happens to young children?

  if you took a survey trying to ascertain how many people walking through the grocery store, a target or upper class stores nordstroms, your going to be shocked how little people know.. if it's about the catholic church, those numbers shot through the ceiling, is this because there is no problem in the new world watchtower order or their better at damage control?

  JWs are more like Protestant religions than Catholicism when it comes to that, in peoples' minds. People think of JWs as having offshoot congregations, so if abuse happens there, it's similar to abuse happening at a Baptist church - it doesn't reflect on the religion as much as that individual. Catholicism is thought of as more centralized with a direct leadership that controls the entire religion, so it reflects on the entire religion.

  The Society is good at playing off of that, as they basically wash their hands of anything done in a congregation so it doesn't reflect on the whole.

  All Christians Should Accept EVOLUTION

  it is time for christians to accept evolution, in my opinion.. there are many reasons why i think it is long overdue for all christians to finally accept what science says about evolution.

  below i will show these reasons.. .

  the bible tells people to pay attention to nature to see the glory of god (psalm 19; romans 1:19-20).

  The Golden Rule existed long before Jesus, all across the world. And it's not what everyone follows, anyway.

  Secular humanism is a better moral philosophy than those two scriptures.

  There were relatively fewer atheists at that point and time, and it's irrelevant, anyway, since more Christians practiced slavery than atheists as well.
