  and a very good discussion ensued on this topic.

  it is the only thing i liked about that movie, but anyway this came up yesterday.

  In England often a Service charge is included in the bill (anything between 10% and 15%). Does this happen in the US, and are you expected to tip extra on top of that?

  I always laughed at the film Home Alone2 when the young Culkin lad tips with his chewing gum. lol sounds like my old boyfriend, he was tighter than a ducks arse.

  I haven't been to the meetings since Dec 1999, except the memorials. Which I have always hated.

  I am on this JW's mailing list from years back, and when she gets something interesting to her, she just forwards it on to all of mailing list.

  I was always too embarrased to email her and ask her to stop sending them.

  What do you hate about your job?

  normally i love my job, but at 4.50am this morning my alarm went off for me to get ready for work and i hated it so much.

  i've been off for 2 weeeks, and my first shift back is a 1ohr shift on a sunday morning.

  its enough to make me wish i was getting up for a meeting instead!!!

  Being a medic has so many highs and lows

  Highs

  Delivering healthy babies and having the Mum and Dad still send you cards on their babies birthday

  Working as a Volunteer in Peru in a little village hospital for a month, the people were so nice to me.

  Lows

  Working on the site of the Selby train crash as a rescue worker, mangled metal, limbs on the ground, tight working conditions, and the sound of so many people screaming and crying all at once.

  + Telling relatives that someone has died.,It never gets easier.

  That is ... if this story is true! It reeks of Urban Legend to me. Maybe you could ask to meet this girl and see if it is true.

  Hell...if I know, I am still on this JW's mailing list, she always sending on JW info to me also it looks like she sent it to about 20 other people.

  I don't fancy returning her email and getting in to a long winded JW discussion

  The mother and father of a little girl had a Bible study with xxx
  regularly since she was an infant. They stressed setting goals and
  told her what they would like to see her do one day. When they
  told her what she would need to do to be an unbaptized publisher,
  and that it would mean she would have to be able to read, xxx
  practiced every day, over and over.

  She started reading and became an unbaptized publisher at age 3.

  She joined the ministry school at age 4.

  She was baptized at age 5. (She wanted to get baptized at 4, but
  her father said she was too young. Xxx went to the Circuit
  Overseer and told him she wanted to get baptized, but her daddy
  wouldn't let her.)

  She started regular pioneering at age 5 ®.

  She is now 6 and looks forward to the Memorial where last year
  she brought 5 persons.

  She has 5 Bible studies, three are with young ones, two are with
  adults.

  She says she wants to be a missionary one day and would love to
  go to Angola...her mother says she can tell you all about the
  statistics there from the Yearbook...

  She still does her own personal study for all the meetings.

  Her mother says that she has very little association with children,
  except those who are out in the ministry with their parents...all of
  her life she has been around adults who speak about the truth and
  walk the walk.

  if so they seem to be allowing a large amount of time before taking any retributive action.

  has anyone heard of any follow thru from the borg from being identified here recently?

  I got asked some probing questions, by the C.O., as they tried to identify who it might be.

  Did he ask you to take your shoes off.......... hmmmm you do have little toes.

  So whats the worse they can do Core? I really don't know.

  Could they bring a court case against something said on a forum?, would they?

  I am sure that certain ones have to be careful, and they have my deepest respect for doing so,

  For me, yeah I have identified myself, as has Cassie, but after the death of our father, we couldn't give a toss what the Society think or do anymore.

  I believe that Cassie feels they won't take action against him, for a reason he won't tell me about.

  BTW I think it is an excellent point you have raised and I will be watching to see what the forum "heavyweights" have to say on the subject
