My exhibition private view is tomorrow :s - wish me luck?
by reboot inim so nervous...10 of us are exhibiting at a prestigious gallery in the south.was ok but am bricking it now.its in a beautiful georgian house gallery that dickens and thackery regularily visited when it was a house...(you can vote for it on restoration programme bbc2 july 25- or it could close...arts funding crisis looming..remember....art feeds the soul and soothes the mind and is sometimes the most easily accessable social concince/voice.....).
.hope everyone turns up.should have 150-200 people ..invitations have gone out..copious amounts of wine ordered..food bought..have got waitresses sorted out and just got to hope we're well received or we'll all be in the corners drinking and bereft of all our confidence.......i've invited all my local friends most of whom are school teachers or just lovely , so they might justcounteract a friend's over critical father and another's partner who's able to flatten your confidenceat 50 paces....can you tell ive hit the winealready?
lol im throwing them all a party to celebrate the end of this course and the start of the degree next sat so if its a disaster we'll jsut drown our sorrows there...and if we sell any we're all going on holiday together... i'll post if it was a total disaster...and *newsflash* reboot's gonna wear a skirt.....

Well, ive just about recovered now...me and my clothes are hosed down and clean(ish) I had a great time..met up with Bay64me (did you get to see Black rebel mc club?)after some descriptive text messaging......it was good to meet you all and have a pint.
and I DID 'go' in the 'she pees' eventually ....
SLH was around and we had a go at getting together but similar excellent reasons were keeping us apart.......
Main bands I hung around the main stage for were Joss Stone, James Brown. Gomez, Morrissey,The English National Opera,Supergrass and Bonnie Rait,Muse found my friend eventually and we didnt stop jumping about from Supergrass to Muse.Watched cabarets, when it rained...the best was a guy standing on a bike, on top of a pole. held up with guy ropes tensioned by people from the audience, while he juggledwith fire, an apple and 2 fired up chainsaws...
there was a casino tent that had a strict dress code, you had to hire suits and dresses to go in, the dance tent was great; went to the field of flags awesome sight,to dance with a few thousand others.. (can you see a pattern here? lol) tipi field, healing field, ballroom.cinema, green field, cabaret, circus, workshops ,shopping, a singles holiday camp of love...over 300 bands..acoustic stage jazz stage, theatre tent, fire stage, scared spaces, healing fields, poetry. kids areas,so many people to see and stuff to look at,i was dashing around like crazy trying to pack it all in..
The mud was deep but just made for more entertainment resulting in some lovely 'mud angels' and a few mud fights...im not to keen on Muse, but they were incredible..the pyramid stage was lit up in electric blue and the graphics behind them were amazing as were they i had to grudgingly admit...then fireworks..
My friend met a guy and is now in love ..ah...and I didnt have that much luck but had a couple of Glastonbury moments..there was the complete stranger who asked me to look after his bag while he went for a pint as '' there are a lot of strangers about'' ??? and the huge, perfect, double rainbow that appeared while me and my friend were dancing in the rain with 150,000 others...ah.....roll on next year...

1. cats do what they want.. 2. they rarely listen to you.. 3. they're totally unpredictable.. 4. when you want to play, they want to be alone.. 5. when you want to be alone, they want to play.. 6. they expect you to cater to their every whim.. 7. they're moody.. 8. they leave hair everywhere.. .
conclusion: they're tiny women in little fur coats.. .

Old flames and heavy drinking
by LongHauler inshakespeare wrote in ?romeo and juliet?
why, such is love's transgression.
griefs of mine own lie heavy in my breast, .

(longhauler)) no no no no no no no, put the drink down...
it's precicely because you didnt have a relationship with her that she is now your ideal relationship. She was a fantasy that was never realised and , as such will appear to be a safe person to adore. She's probably hell to live with and has the most annoying habits...th relationships youve had may not have wrked out,,but at least you tried..perhaps looking after yourself and being happy with yourself will allow someone to come in to your life when you least expect it.not to fulfill you, but to compliment you.Life's ben tough. You sound like youre really down on yourself.
Healthy relationships arnt trying to mend eachother, the happiest couples I know have no issues..I think if were sorted out emotionally ourselves we stand a much better chance of having a lasting relationship(im not talking about me lol).good luck..and put the drink down...sheesh....
