REPOST: For those without mothers
by Lady Lee inmothers day can bring up many issues for some of us.
for some their mothers have passed away and the opportunity to say i love you in person is forever lost.
for others our mothers are lost to the borg.

((lady lee)) this post was a lovely thought..i'm sorry for the sadness some of you have....we had our mother's day a while ago but just thought i'd share these quotes with you all..my mother died from cancer 3 years ago after an horrific battle and is always in my thoughts...ours was'nt a perfect relationship, but she would often put her self in physical danger to protect me and had her own troubles. We shared a telepathic bond and an unspoken understanding that made us beyond close. Her generosity of spirit, willingness to help others at the expense of her own happiness and kindness to others were unbelieveable and inspirational.
Nobody can have the soul of me.My mother has had it, and nobody can have it again.Nobody can come into my very self again, and breathe me like an atmosphere.
D.H.Lawrence
.A mother is a person who if she's not there when you get home from school you would'nt know how to get your dinner, and you would'nt feel like eating it anyway.
Anon.
To my mother I tell the truth.I have no thought, no feeling that I cannot share with my mother, and she is like a second concience to me, her eyes like a mirror reflecting my own image
William Gerhardi
that if a man loves his mother he will always love his wife
George Jean Nathan
the only ghosts, I believe, who creep into this world, are dead youn mothers, returned to see how their children fare. There is no other inducement great enough to bring the dear departed back.

Too Posh To Push
by Englishman init seems that many uk women are opting to have their babies via a caesarian operation because they don't want to experience the pain of childbirth.. the national health service will only perform caesarians if there is a genuine medical neccessity for doing so.. women such as liz hurley and victoria beckham paid to have their babies via a c section even though it wasn't medically neccessary.
http://www.manchesteronline.co.uk/news/s/110/110256_doctors_set_to_tackle_too_posh_to_push_women.html.
i wonder if they will regret it later in life?.

.... he was so premature and weak. I rented an electric breast pump (like a milking machine............truly) and kept things going so when he came home two weeks later, I could nurse him.
Mulan...now that's love...........i've used those occasionally when i've had to store feeds before going away...they hurt...

I think it's an odd decision unless you have to have one for medical reasons as there would have been too many negatives for me....and Ive never had an operation and would be terrified of a caesarian-hats off to all ofyou who've been brave enough to go through it...
I had my three very quickly, my first daughter in 5 hours, then at home for the second in 35 mins and my son, at home, in just 6 mins, with no one to help until the last few seconds...
The pain was unimaginable, and the uncontrollable shaking after the quick births was terrifying, but I felt a certain amount of pride at having borne them without drugs ( I just relied on lots of healthy swearing.and rescue remedy.)
The feelings that flood your system after having been through labour were incredible for me; the high that lasted days... the sheer awe that my body had given birth was a feeling I could have missed.I 'm surprised we have more than one though-you really do seem to 'forget 'the pain after a while...
the physical recovery and return to pre-pregnancy shape was very fast, which I put partly down to breast feeding too, something which was'nt the same for friend's who'd had caesarians. They tended not to feed naturally because the feeding couldnt get off to a good start due to the time that had elapsed between the anaesthetic and the first feed..
..and as for any physical imperfections due to a natural birth...I just consider them hard-won battle scars...

how many of you guys prefer a boney stick body?.

it beats me why women would want breasts that don't look and feel like breasts....but I would'nt have surgery for a man.....i'd like a little more; but I would'nt want to look like i've had an unfortunate accident in the fresh fruit department whilst shopping and managed to get impaled by two grapefruits. as I leaned across with my satsumas... ..

Does this work like a shopping list........?
ok......i'll have the lovely eyes, a soft mouth, kindness, intelligence, inner strength and wit ; a voice that can make me melt and strong arms to wrap me up....oh, and boundless energy..........
I remember an experiment where men had to try and identify their partners body parts from photographs..the interesting part was, if their partners had put on weight they often chose the wrong picture..they chose the photograph according to how their partners used to look -they didnt seem to notice the weight gain...how sweet

((((poor Abbadon)))) that sounds like pure torture............... but im dying of laughter here....
..and just for the record...love the sensitive gentleness of a man, his eyes, his smile but if we're talking pure asthetics the triangle shape = strength and gets my eyes homing in like a pair of heat seeking missiles. everytime.....
and if it's any consolation I have a friend who's so beautiful I have to stop talking sometimes and just stare at him.....he just takes the p**s out of me, he's used to it...
