  Returning to "the truth" after DAing

  no, i'm not returning to da troof, in case i scared anyone.

  but a recent thread got me thinking about this: i wonder how many people who da actually return and get reinstated, versus how many who were df'd get reinstated.

  you'd think if you da'd, there's no way you'd go back.

  I had no idea there were people who felt like me

  i've recently begun challenging my beliefs.

  all my beliefs, including those ingrained in me as one raised "in the truth".. a few years ago i sought therapy for chronic depression and my treatment was remarkably successful.

  as a side effect, things that used to "work" for me no longer fit with the new emotional pathways and strengths i was developing.

  welcome to the board..

  and its ok you haven't left the organization yet.. there are others here who are still attending, some, although they no longer believe, they still want their family or friends in thier lives. The most important thing is to research and learn, so you are doing things because they are right for you, or what you believe, not because you are a robot following direction..

  UPDATE ON DANSK

  it's been a long time since i posted here but i often read your messages when ian (dansk) logs on.

  as most of you will know, ian will be going back into hospital on monday for an allogeneic stem cell transplant and will be away from the forum for a good few weeks (hopefully he'll be back home within 4-6 weeks).

  last time he was in hospital many of you sent messages to his ward and i know they cheered him up immensely.

  what does it mean when your wife bothers you while your watching the game? it means the chain on the stove is too long. hahahaha bigdreaux ducks for cover.

  what does it mean when a guy doesn't get that lunch will not be made during the football game.. its either before or he is going to have to wait in my house

  the best thing about breaking up with my bf.. is no more underwear (and all other articles of clothing) to pick up.. wash.. etc..

  why a man can live alone, know how to do his own laundry, iron, etc and he moves in and suddenly develops alzheimers when it comes to laundry, picking up, etc..

  One of my sons just moved back in with me... he does his own laundry thank god...

  way, way back in 1962, when i was four years old and my family relocated from harlem to queens, ny, our tuesday night book study, as it used to be called way back when almost universally in jw land, was conducted by a woman !!

  please don't think i don't remember correctly because of my young age at the time, but the sis.

  who conducted it is still alive, and i practically know her whole family.

  Case where woman prays with headcovering when baptized male present, if he is on restrictions and cannot pray for the group.

  I always felt bad when you were with a small group and only one brother was in the room... He looked humiliated when a sister would pray... and even though he might be on private reproof.. well now EVERYONE knew he was being reproved..

  Thanks emptywords, I'm all too familiar with it, just wanted to see what someone would give for an answer.

  if you ask me.. it also is a way of making sure the woman knows her place...

  and a lower level than a man
