so a few months ago, a friend sent me an actual copy of finished mystery which was published in 1917 (not a pdf download... the actual book).
i must say, this was the most disturbing book i have ever had the displeasure of reading.
but i only read it because this was the main publication that was being distributed worldwide when jesus supposedly chose the watchtower in 1918 and i basically wanted to see for myself what jesus saw in the wt that would compel him to choose this religious corporation over all other religious denominations.. anyway, if anyone is interested in knowing the actual contents of this book, here are some bullet points i put together from some of the notes i took as i read the book:.

I just went over the 1917 version I have , and except for the illustrations , all was on point.
i was a junior borgite in 1975. i remeber looking at the calendar at work in october and thinking: 'armageddon isn't here yet.....and it doesn't feel like it will be here anytime soon either!'.

For some reason, we the rank & file ,ran ahead of the WTB&TS and assumed 1975 to be the year of the BIG A Coming home from High School every day in that month of October, I remember we had some mild days with much sun and thinking "could today be the day?" As im stuck in stated "I remember people selling houses and pioneering and then in 1977 or so many of them left the org thru the back door." Well for me in 1977 I went out the front door choosing to be DA'ed.
i would assume that some or a good number of us here as normal humans in this society - consider " lawless " actions to include murder , robbery, extortion, rape, child abuse, war , terrorism, etc.
the wt society has their own definition of what's considered " lawless ".
anything that's considered a disfellowshipping offense in the jehovah's witnesses is now considered " lawless ".

LOL the same reason my mom gave me, but I was allow to keep the record(which I still have). The first 45 I remember buying was "Standing in the Shadow of Love " by the Four Tops. I paid 35 cent for it out of my weekly allowance.
