From reddit...How old were you when you became a publisher?
by Biahi ini was six, not given any choice.
i remember being in the old kh, and my dad told me the brothers wanted to talk to me in the back...i was terrified.
i actually thought they knew i didn’t want to be a dub, my dad told them to just add me as a publisher, so no back room meeting.

Apostasy: The Movie - Directed by Daniel Kokotajlo
by darkspilver indaniel kokotajlo's new film apostasy has it's world premiere at the toronto international film festival in september 2017. apostasy.
family and faith come into conflict for two jehovah’s witness sisters in manchester, when one is condemned for fornication and the other pressured to shun her sibling.. this fresh, unadorned first feature from director dan kokotajlo carries an unmistakable note of authenticity from its very first scenes.
set in a jehovah's witness community in england, the film's strength and power lies in its directness.. apostasy depicts the growing rift in a family — a mother and two daughters — who are rigorously devoted to their religion.

Faith On The March
by RN inanyone out there have an original edition of this book?.
because i'm trying to decide if i've lost my mind or have the worst memory ever.
in my early teens (mid 1970's) i read this book, and i always wanted to read it again; especially in the early '90's when things really started to bug me.

BTW that was Rose Ball and the Jellyfish story not Miss Bell. FAITH ON THE MARCH was published outside the WT Society, but had the Society's blessing as it was advertised in the Awake magazine back in 1957.

I read this book,...I remember reading what Cole wrote about Miss Bell and the Jellyfish, Miracle Wheet etc. and not feeling particularly surprised because I had read about those things many years ago in Faith on the March. Or so I thought.
I beleive you might be referring to the book "VISIONS OF GLORY" by the late Barbara Harrison. All the above mentioned was discussed in detail in her book. It was published in 1978. Another bbok that comes to mind is " A PEOPLE FOR HIS NAME" by Timothy White (1967) I hope this helps.

How often do you see the Witnesses out on the ministry?
by rory-ks ini only ask because i hardly ever see them out on the ministry.
it is a very rare sighting to spot them actively engaged in the house to house ministry.
or out on the street work, in the marketplace, etc.. the other reason i ask is because they are constantly pictured as being on the preaching work.

The Borg's annual report of millions and millions of hours spent in the world-wide preaching work, do you think they may have doctored the numbers just a little bit?

My favourite JW books when I was a delusional.convert. Did you have any ?
by smiddy indid you have any favourite books by the society when you were in ?not that this book was my fav.
yet it was the first book i read learning about jw`s.
" from paradise lost to paradise regained " i know , it was designed for the young , however my mentor thought that since i had no understaning of the bible it was what i needed.

I noticed a few on here listed books from pre-1960, interesting. The first book I studied was the "Paradise"book. I too like the "Babylon" book because of it historical references(also a history buff) which later ran iinto "The Finished Mystery" book(1969). My fav then was also the" JW in the Divine Purpose". That motivated me to build a large "Theocratic" library of older WT literature.
