No not all men do. I think that if you don't cheat on your spouse, it just means you have a level of integrity to yourself and those you love. There is also the concept of an open relationship, I'm not in one nor do I want to be. From what I've seen, most people are not mature enough to be in an open relationship without causing problems for their primary relationship. I do view that as different though than cheating on your spouse. If I knew someone was cheating on their spouse, I'd be inclined to not trust them as a friend or business assoc.

I've hit possum, raccoon, and skunk. Close to hitting deer, but lucked out. I've hit flying birds a few times, once a cardinal, I was very sad.
I think when it comes to animals on the road, already taking the precautions of going slower and paying attention, when they get in the way there is little you can do. You can swerve and try to miss, but then you become a road hazard. I've missed my deer by deliberatly staying the course, becoming if you will "the instrument of natural selection". If I'd hit it, I'd have felt sad at first, and then "Damn, wish a game warden were around so I could get a tag." (Hate to waste good venison.)

What I would change? I'd change my chronic muscle pain and weakness for the muscles of a normal average 30 something guy. I want my lazer sharp memory and thinking ability back. I want my 20 something metabolism back so I don't look so "mature and filled out". Perhaps the best thing would be contentment and accepting how I am.

hardest conversation of my life
by metaspy inmoments ago, i talked to my mom.. i told her that i was taking some time off from going to meetings and service.. the conversation went down hill from there.. as her usual she just dismissed my reasons as if they meant nothing.. i pointed to the child molestations as my main reason for leaving.. "you are being over-sensitive", "jehovah takes care of things in his own time", "rely on jehovah".
those were the catch phrases of the conversation.. a new one was: "what have you been reading?".
i have a hard time standing up to my mother.

Good advice all around, but I want to focus on what Jgnat and a few others said along the line of disconecting your input from their output. Lady Lee also recomended a few years ago another book called Emotional Blackmail. Very good read, practical and applicable. I also found a book that was geared mainly towards physical abuse and violence, but the ideas were also IMO very useful for emotional manipulation and abuse, I needed that sort of info at one time as my mother was manipulative and just OMG. That book is called Never Be a Victim, that might be slightly wrong, but I can find it if you want the tittle, and its a short read too.
You could whatch Fight Club, Tyler Durden has a few gems. "This conversation...is OVER."
My own ma did this too: When I first started confronting her or not conecting with her manipulation, she went instantly from boo-hoo to Ggggrrrrrrr with eyes flashing and shit, when I rode that out, she finially let out a sigh and pouted. Through all of that, I had to be very resolute and almost cold. It has left scars on our relationship today, she doesn't see them, as the scars are on my end so to speak. Now we get along, but if she tries to even build up to her old tricks I let her know right away that "No. That's not how it works."
