i bit it for the first time on sunday and have bitten it about 10 times since!
no matter how careful i am, i keep biting it!
Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I only bit it once today and it wasn't hard enough to draw blood. Sucking on ice seems to be working the best for me.
I have to say, I'm kinda surprised that I'm not the only one having this issue. I feel I'm in pretty good company.

No matter how careful I am, I keep biting it! And, of course now, it's swelling, which makes it even easier to bite...
Any ideas on what I can do to keep from biting it again?
mine are, in no particular order:.
"the friends".
"glean".
I hate when they call other JWs "The Friends" for two reasons:
1) Quakers were doing this way before JWs.
2) It's just such a blatent mind control tactic. No one outside of the JWs can be your "friend," so you have to stay.

thought today that i would try to get some questions answered.
i wanted to see if he could answer my concerns and was looking forward to a nice discussion or some peace regarding some things that are driving me crazy.. so, i saw this older 'wise' looking gentleman on the street holding up some mags.
so, i approached him.
Pity you didn't have an apostate tract to 'place' with him.
That would be awesome! There are soo many creative people here, surely someone could come up with a simple document that we could all download, print and use in these kinds of situations.

hi everyone, been reading here for a long time and have to say how much i enjoy all of your stories, insight and opinions.
this is my first time posting but i remembered something today that i thought was worth sharing.
when i was a teenager and going to the hall (i successfully faded about seventeen years ago), there was a family who would come to the hall in all their sunday finery (better clothes than we can afford), drove up in their nice luxury vehicle etc.

Hmmmm.... sounds like someting an apostate would do, but technically, since you were never a JW, you aren't. I think somehow, on some level, that alone would burn them up.
The KH I went to had no windows at all, but they just built a new one and it has a big picture window that actually looks into the auditorium. I was very surprised.

I have a friend who always ordered a "Whoa, Jesus!" when we went out to the bar. I don't know if he made it up, or if he got it from somewhere. You down it all at once and then yell out (you guessed it), "WHOA, JESUS!"
Because the ingredients spell out the word, he also called it TABS:

i put up some st. patrick's decorations at work, including one of those demonized little leprechauns, and enjoyed the look of a jw i work with when she came into the office this morning.
you know the look of pretending they didn't notice those evil holiday decorations?
