i've been lurking for 3-4 years and i mean i've been a mega lurker, doing marathon reading sessions for months or weeks.. sometimes i proceed by researching specific topics, or posters; other times just reading current discussions.
i'm particularly fond of "old" post, i.e 10-12-15 years ago.. i have laughed, smiled, got mad, cried etc, just reading some threads here.. as you can see i suffer from some kind of "accute lurkitis".
Welcome to the forum! I really like your detailed introduction, but I must warn you to be very careful about personal details here. Im happy you have found inner peace, and have gotten away from the guilt......welcome to mental freedom!

reading another thread made me realise that there are numerous expressions used as everyday witness terminology, that is not in the bible.... such as:.
governing body.
paradise earth.
"The truth" is actually in scripture, it is used by the Apostle Paul at Collossians 2:7...unfortunately cults like to apply this phrase to themselves, and use it to unduly influence their victims!

This offended me (and I still believe in scripture).....of all the people to meet.....you want to me some deceptive woman from the OT???? Is it me, or has learning TTATT made me more sensitive to cult attitudes and behaviors?
i've always suspected this was the wt society's view when i was in the jehovah's witness organization - but never knew the head of the writing committee karl adams had written a letter to nathan knorr ( then wt president ) recommending a change regarding reporting field service time as it wrongly emphasized jw members being seen as mainly being approved due to field service statistics - instead of emphasizing christian qualities of love, kindness, peace, etc.. karl adams had been personally handpicked by nathan knorr to be the head of the writing department.
in 1971 he wrote a letter to knorr which he wanted shared with the entire governing body as well .
