Hmmm.... an entire convention on Loyalty. Looks like a lot of people are being dis loyal. People are leaving and are angry. Just the title of the assembly tells me they are very worried. Remember what the March Broadcast says about removing the rafter from YOUR eye, not the other way around. The organization has done NOTHING, it's always YOUR fault . Remember that. lol
Let me guess, they will have a talk about your loyalty and giving your "first fruits". Which translates, "give us your money."

so my mum who is in and really is finding it hard that i have left and faded.
shes asked me if i want to the the circuit overseer next week.. i have never met him and this is more my mum wanting me to get my problems i have with the organisation out.
but should i share everything i've learnt or what?.

well it finally happened!
we have been waiting about a year for this, my dfd husbands family asked us for money.
even though his own father hasn't met our 8 month old son.
They have no shame.

I wouldn't give them a dime. If they treat you like this they don't deserve your respect. Like someone just said, let their JW family help them out.
hello all i am fairly new to this site even though i have been da since i was 16 years old i am now 35 years old.
i have had very little contact with my family since i left maybe a handful of times over the years.
i thought i put the past behind me and moved on i have 4 amazing kids of my own really supportive partner and great friends who have become my family.

My spouse and I watched them out of our window. As we watched them unload the car, we discussed how we DO NOT miss the "tasks" this organization puts on its members. You know...the burdens the branch (Jehovah) does not want to put on the Brothers and Sisters. What a joke!

so...i just finished a email conversation with one of my self-righteous, super jw relatives back home.
let me preface this conversation by saying this relative is someone i don't communicate with, at all.
I had exactly the same thing happen to me. It was also a relative and we had no (zero, nadda) relationship with this person.

You did the right thing. You know how to drive a JW crazy? DO NOT give them anything (no gossip) . They thrive on gossip. They will just make up sh*t anyway. I think they actually enjoy the thrill of the kill. Let em enjoy that ride.
