  spoke with a fellow apostate from my own area.

  she and i bailed out about the same time and kept in touch.. she used to do secular work with one of the local elders in his cleaning business until she got dfed.

  this same elder was one of the more profound dickheads on my reinstatement committee, before i turned around two years later and daed.. business required her to contact the elder on behalf of an old client.

  Thanks for keeping us up to date on what is going on. We have been out for 3+ years and keep silently hoping that the masses have quit donating. We feel this is the only way those who are held captive by this bunch of self serving hypocrites can silently speak back. The mind set may be, "so you want us to simplify, give more, do more and you keep beating us with your words." So many have given up so much for the organization....education, family, children, marriage, a comfortable retirement, the list goes on and on. What has this organization done to help the average publisher? NOT A DAMN THING! "GIVE MORE OF YOUR VALUABLE THINGS!" I think a lot of people are feeling that they have given just about enough.

  "They shouldn't be emotionally blackmailed to come back so they can get their parents back, or the children back, or their siblings back."

  This is the reason most come back in, to get their family back. WT holds the family hostage until they come back in. What a sick cult! How many of you know of someone that was DF'd, they were reinstated, only to later fade. So much for Jehovah reading the heart. They came back in for only one reason....family. Like I said in a previous post. Family is the most important thing to people. Once you start messing with that institution, there will be hell to pay eventually.

  it might just be me imagining things.. i hear things from my jw spies.. from all that's being said, it seems to me that the rank and file(tm), are either waking up to the scam and fading/leaving.

  they are going full on 'cult mode' and acting like 'spiritual police'.. is it just me and my imagination?

  have others noticed this?.

  Once you mess with peoples most precious possession, the family, there WILL eventually be hell to pay. I think it is happening and will get worse for WT over time. We are living in a more acceptable time and our children are learning to accept what our generation did not. The saying, "what goes around, comes around" will affect the WT.

  Great post. I did the same thing that you did. I Goggled the word cult and every bullet point matched the WT, to a tee. Once my spouse and I started researching our own religion, the layers of the onion began to peel away. No wonder WT doesn't want the R&F to read "apostate" material....IT'S TRUE!

  he also said another witness helped this young lady she was a sister so another person can help your child but you cannot he said let jehovah help them.audeince dead silent..

  not one but four witnesses at my door

  having not had a witness knock on my door since i left over 13 years ago i was surprised a few sunday mornings ago to find two young sisters who i had not seen before at my door.

  it was not long before their husbands who were witnessing at my neighbors joined the conversation.

  the conversation went on for some time so i am keeping the experience as brief as i can.. mind you with all what has been happening lately with the australian royal commission here in australia i had been looking forward to having a discussion with any witness who comes within earshot.

  Unfortunately, they will watch the video and just go on with their "head bobbing," agreeing with everything played out in the video.

  It seems they only way a JW see's thing for what they really are, is when it happens to them.

  Funny! I can picture quite a few JW's doing that. The "spiritual" outside looks better than what's on the inside. Reminds me of the scripture that says, "whitewashed graves full of dead mens bones." Don't let em fool ya.
