i was looked down upon by the heavy hitters on the body of elders and in time i changed my mind.
i knew of the failed prophecy of 1914 being the end of all times which was repeated for the year 1925...yet i came to believe well maybe this time they've got it right.. with every new watchtower, i combed over every word to find support for my change in my belief that the end was coming in fall of 1975. at the district assembly in 1975, everyone clung onto every word in the final talk.

I agree with Wing Commander. Fred Franz was a loon. Have you ever notice WT is so enamored with sex, whether it is masturbation, adultery, fornication and beasteality . Seems to be a obsession with sex. Reminds me of the saying , "thou does protest to much."

Great job! That took guts...way to go! Just wait until she realizes that she no longer gets to see her 2 grand babies. It's just incredible that they can turn their backs on their family. Hugs!

FEMA Monies!! And JW help!!
by DwainBowman init is my understanding, that if fema is called into an event like going on in la, with the flooding and all.
fema with give up to $33,000 per family, depending on need.
and some of the monies cane be used to help them git by on, until they get set back up.

This story doesn't surprise me. WT is all about WT and any money they can get. Follow the $ and you will find religion at the end of the rainbow. I would NEVER call WT for any assistance. The help and money only flow one way....into WT pockets.

Are the Elders harder on Women

long story short she claims elders are generally hardier on women than men.

Just my observation (as a woman).
I think the Elders (the majority) hate a woman who will take NO crap from the Brothers. They call it un-submissive. I have been called that. I told one Elder that respect is earned, not given. The Elders wife was present when I said it and she agreed. Bet she got a tongue lashing later (lol).
I think the mentality of some of the Elders when they are dealing with what they call an "un-submissive" woman is similar to a scene from the Wizard of Oz, "I will get you my pretty and your little dog too." You will have a target on your back and if they find something they can GET you on, they will. It's the only way they can shut some women up...play dirty.

"If he is that kind of person, why would you want to be around him? I would consider it a gift that he is staying away...you can always refuse to be shunned and just greet him with a friendly greeting and a smile every time you see him."
I agree. I won't be there for him ever again. Like the song says...you find out who your friends are. Just very sad. I guess it comes with the territory huh?

Let me explain my situation:
A family member seems to be shunning me. He has been studying for at least 5 years. Yes...5 years.
His list of sins in the past:
Smoking, drug use, cheating on mate, children are all screwed up. The list goes on and on. I have always been supportive and kind to this family member. VERY supportive. Always there when he needed me.
Fast forward to NOW:
My immediate family has faded over the past few years. This family member has caught wind of this and now is distancing themselves from me. ME! Are you kidding! I have a great family. Married for 30 plus years to the same wonderful person, don't smoke, don't drink much and have remained faithful to my mate. Oh...I also pay my taxes (on time too). lol We are pure as snow! So...this person is shunning me? Like I always say....you can't make this sh*t up! Anyone had something similar happen to them?

Dressed up five days ahead of special assembly in Puerto Rico!!
by never a jw inan hour ago i went to bid good bye my two brothers in law and their wives (all elders/elderettes).
they were invited to the special assembly in puerto rico this coming weekend.
they are boarding the plane in about three hours (leaves at 1:00 am pacific.
