  Jehovah will clean his house first...

  with all the stuff going on in the org.

  that is not being said, many of the friends say, well, jehovah will clean his house first....with all this religious hiding of child abuse...what denomination was exposed/cleaned first...although they were forced they were exposed and many still go to these places of worship.

  so are the jw really god's chosen channel.

In such a case, if the branch office has decided that he can continue serving in a position of trust because the sin occurred many years ago and because he has lived an exemplary life since then, it will not be necessary to pass on information about the brother's past sin if he moves to another congregation."

  This is disgusting. If I move to another congregation, a letter is written to the new BOE about everything about you. NOW, if a elder moves and he has committed the crime of child molestation (notice WT calls it a sin), it is not mentioned to the new congregation. The legal ramifications to this is incredible. If I am a publisher and this new Elder slips up and touches my kid, do you think I am going to be pissed that I was not warned there is a child molester in our midst? I would also hire an attorney and sue the crap out of WT. This is the stuff that is getting WT in so much trouble and will continue to do so.

  The start of a rough patch ahead...

  last night i told my mom my true feelings on the organization and what i've learned so far.

  it all started from a conversation, we need to go visit the new headquarters.

  my mom has been studying and just recently became an unbaptized publisher in the spanish cong.

  It is very normal to be scared. We were too. My spouse and I are born ins.

  Unfortunately, there is NO easy way to leave this organization.

  I think we each have to do what is best for our own circumstances and we each have a story. Myself personally, I am a very strong willed person and my biggest pet peeve is injustice. I am not one to stand around and watch others be treated poorly or watch others (with positions within the congregation) do exactly what they say not to do from the stage. These things do not sit well with me. My spouse and I had this little voice that kept saying..."something is just not right here." Once we left, due to being what WT calls "stumbled", we then learned TTATT. We learned about the UN scandal, the inconsistencies of the Malawi and Mexico issues, the overlapping generation teaching made NO sense, the blood fractions. The list goes on and on. Once we came across these subjects, that was it for us. We just could not sit there silent anymore. We exited 4 years ago.

  We know our old "friends" and most of our family will not associate because of our decision but we came to terms with that. We are much happier now. Why is that? We were told we would be miserable. Not so! Our kids seem happier too.

  I guess that you have to figure out how best to move forward. I look at it this way...if your family and friends truly love you, they will NOT abandon you. I could never do that to my kids. NEVER!

  There is one thing I observed over the years regarding this comment. If abuse and bad things are happening to OTHERS, God will eventually take care of it. You know "wait on Jehovah." BUT (big but here)! If it happens to THEM, well that is another story.

  A close friend of ours was removed as an Elder. You would have thought his entire world collapsed. OMG, the things we heard about what they did to HIM. He was eventually put back in. We got into a discussion with him about DF'ing. He shrugged it of that..."everyone that is DF'd thinks they have been wronged." Ahh...no big deal, it wasn't happening to HIM. BUT, when it was happening to him, everyone must listen to how HE was wronged! That is when these ones shrug it off as..."no big deal, let Jah take care of it." It's always interesting to see when the shoe is on the other foot, how it is not so easily shrugged off.

  Warwick Tour Brochure

  Four of the 8 pages of the brochure have at least one GB members picture on it (where is the picture of Jesus?). The GB members sure are putting themselves out there like never before.

  The next brochure will be telling the rank and file how they should dress when visiting. This brochure will be thicker than the one this thread is about.

  Observations from an Ex-Elder Part 1

  i was thinking about the fog model this morning, particularly about the "obligation" part.

  my mind went back to the last elders school i went to.

  one of the parts in the section on appointments was discussing how we should not place too high a bar (human standards) for brothers to try and jump over when we are considering them for appointment as a ministerial servant.

  in reading these posts, it sounds like a lot of you are very jealous of the wt.

  society’s annual income and the money they/we have in the bank.

  I so wish that I could tell you my story. The 40+ years of abuse that my family has witnessed. You know nothing of each and every person on this forum. Everyone has a story and who are you to judge who gets a free pass to the JW kingdom?Who knows, if this is even true, that you will get a free pass. You are currently on a apostate website and Jah is watching you.

  Let me tell you how sad and passionate I feel at this current moment. I would rather enjoy my life right now than spend eternity with the people I have removed from my life. The most judgmental, hypocritical and narcissistic people I have ever met in my entire life. Why are we happier since we have left? Don't ever judge someone until you have walked in their shoes and say a prayer to Jehovah for visiting a apostate website.

  Observations from an Ex-Elder Part 2 - Cart Work

  up until i left recently i was participating in the cart work.

  in the location where we used to set up near our local mall we never had one person stop and take literature or stop and chat - other than fellow brothers.

  i thought maybe it was just a bad location or something.

  Thorn in the Elders' Side

  i've been out of the jw for some time.

  but i was just recalling this guy that had formerly been an elder, but had not agreed with the rest of the elders on some issues and had stepped down.

  he continued to go to the meetings, make comments at the hall and be critical of the elders.

  For 40 years, we had a family member that was very outspoken . He died over 10 years ago but was very critical of the Elders and headquarters. I don't think his comments would be tolerated with the current leadership. I believe, he would be DF'd ASAP!

  I Saw 2 JWs Doing Nothing With Their Cart Today

  my girlfriend and i were walking along a seaside boulevard and lo and behold!

  2 jws were standing by the pathway.

  they made eye contact and said hello.

  We have family members who are full time pioneers. They love it because they get to do their favorite thing....SIT! If it were hard to pioneer, trust me, they would be the last people to do it.
