i've been lurking for about 3 months now and thought i'd better finally sign up.
you have all been an immense help to me as i have come to realize that this isn't the truth so i want to say a great big thank you!

WT picks and chooses what it addresses. If they don't want to address it, they will sweep it under the rug and call it apostate lies. The interesting thing is, most of the followers believe WT. It is easier for the rank and file. Someone to tell you how to act and think.

You got it! When WT see's anything or anyone receiving the attention they feel they should be getting, they tighten the screws. Well...I don't think everyone is listening anymore. This is why the Loyalty assembly and the Don't give up assembly have been designed. WT is loosing it's grip! It's a good thing. It's always fun to watch the enemy sweat.

ok, so i've just put myself through another months broadcast so i can see what bull they're feeding my still in relatives.
all was going fine... well, i say fine, i mean the usual cheesy videos, rehearsed reactions from jeffrey jackson (you remember him, the one who told half truths and lies at the royal commission) and propaganda from jw land.. the last feature brings up 9/11 and the paris 2015 attack at the bataclan.
just as im thinking "how are they gonna spin this in their direction" i hear these words:.
WT only helps those if they can get a photo op and your insurance money. When we were going through a tough financial time a few years ago. Did anyone in the KH even ask if we were ok? Just our service group overseer who was assigned to us. The rest of the body of Elders? Not one single word, no encouragement what so ever. We were not looking for money or anything, just a lousy word of encouragement. This is what initially caused us to hit the exit. Then we learned TTATT. Once you learn that, there is no way you can return.
today, i received a paper letter in my mail.
since i left at the second half of 2016, i never received something like this.
it is a one and a half page hand written letter that is written by an elder pioneer (i guess he needed some easy way to get his time in).. it is not written in english, so i will translate it:.

I agree...nothing about you. No "how are you or been thinking about you." He just jumps right into the scriptures and even sends you WT literature. No personal care.
I have a great idea to get any JW off your radar. Tell em you short on cash or you need someone to help you move. I can guarantee you'll never hear from him again. Lol
