Thanks, but no thanks!
by FadeToBlack inthat was essentially my reply to a recent sms i got from the elder of the group i am supposed to be in, requesting a visit to encourage me and get to know me better.
my wife has been attending english language meetings in warsaw for the last year or so (i have never been) and i think they are getting antsy about where i stand.
i've met many of them at events my wife hosted at our house, but so far nobody has pressed me on the issue of my inactivity.. at one of the events, an elder mentioned that he'd heard i 'had been' a jw for many years and he was curious what first attracted me to the org.

Great response on your part. I agree with The Fall Guy...Elders hate it when you don't "confide" to them why you no longer attend. They are told over and over again that they are "Jesus' right hand men, princes, given double honor." They just can't fathom why you won't talk to them. lol
The less you say, the better. It will keep them off of your back. The old game of cat and dead mouse. ha ha. The cat will loose interest in the mouse when the mouse no longer responds.
We have done this for years and it works like a charm!!!!

I would love to say that I feel sorry for these guys, but I can't. So many of them were cruel and heartless with the congregations they served. They talked down to those who got higher education, who had to support a family, etc. We are witnessing some aging family members who were cruel or just judgmental to those of us living a "normal" life. Now these judgmental elderly ones are wondering why NO ONE is around to look after them. They forget how they treated others.

We were "stumbled" by Anthony Morris' talk a few years ago about tight pants, spanx and Brothers not being worth a damn if they are not MS's by the age of 23. The GB can "stumble" the sheep but that's ok, they are the Almighty GB!! The hypocrisy is through the roof!!!

Yes. While we were still attending, an Elder in our congregation was on a JC with some friends of ours. He was brutal to them. Hateful and an assh*le. He was due double honor! He was an Elder, a prince, sitting at Jesus right hand. Just a few short weeks later it came to light that this Elder (Mr. Double Honor) was screwing around on his wife. So much for that holy sprit! Double honor, my a**!

by stuckinarut2 inso we have all heard the worldwide reports about khalls being sold off and congregations being amalgamated etc.... of course, jws are being told that these actions are a sign of "just how much the work is progressing, and how jehovah is blessing the increase and expansion!".
i can share the following from my part of the world too!.
in perth, western australia the following has occurred.. three "new" congregations have been formed!

Maybe they will sell the KH to a church. They sold our KH to a church. Interesting thing....I can not enter a church for a wedding, funeral, etc. or do business with a church but WT can sell a KH to a church. You just can't make this stuff up!!!!
The hypocrisy is staggering!!!
