so, as some of you will know myself and my husband are in the process of fading.
haven't been to a meeting since beginning of 2017. .
we weren't planning on going to the memorial, but last week my mother broke down and said that we have to go to the memorial even if it's the only meeting i go to this year.

I agree. We told our family that we are not going. It does give the family hope that you will return when you attend. We know that it upset them but we are NOT going back. They need to know that.
i just talked with a pioneer who came back from school and she said that at the end there was emphasis put on two things.. 1: stay loyal to the governing body and their teachings.. 2: beware of propaganda.
they said that in wartime the enemy will use propaganda to break the spirit of or confuse the troops.
they said the same things is happening now, so reject negative reports about the organization.. this pioneer (who is fully pimi btw and enthusiastic about it) said she asked her cotboe about if we really have that problem here.

Hell would freeze over before I let one of my children sit in front of their abuser. This is sick beyond belief that the Elders go along with this. How much damage has this cult put upon it's members? How many scars, nightmares and psychological damage has this cult put upon the most vulnerable?

Yes...just set it and forget it. They are no different than any other church. WT has morphed into something we don't even recognize anymore. So glad we are out!!! Never to return!!!

of course i was excited but things take time and you never know if they'll pan out.

That is great dub!!! I hope they interview you. Each little bit of information that gets out there about WT's abuse of people is exciting. Oh wow!!! This is EXACTLY what happened to us. All friendly and concerned until the wolves in sheeps clothing come out. It's amazing how you see these "loving shepherds" morph into ravenous wolves. It's incredible to see it with your own eyes.
