Watchtower is famous for, "do as we say, not as we do." Hypocrisy 101!

Something that really ticked me off about seeing the video of New Head Quarters of J.W.s (Warwick)
by StoneWall inwhen i was a jw it was always emphasized that we should trust in jehovah completely.
jah will protect his people do not trust in man, throw your burdens upon jehovah etc.ok now if that's true wouldn't it mean that if jehovah was going to protect anywhere it should be his world head quarters right?.
we were told to not trust in ourselves (such as guns, walls for defense and protection) but to leave it in jehovah's hands and he would provide a means for escape etc.so as i'm watching some pro-wt vid's about the facilities in warwick i noticed something they didn't show on them or focus on and only reason i know about it was because of the w5 newscast as well as the vids the protesters shared.they conveniently leave out the parts of them putting walls/fences and gates as well as a "guard shack" at entrance instead of relying on jehovah to protect them.the guard house even has a "no trespassing" sign in the window.

The JW's are still using the old tactic that the writer of the letter used years ago. "You CAN NOT make it without US. The world will only chew you up and spit you out." We have heard all of the same things. They actually say it with glee in their voice. Like they are looking forward to your demise.
It's funny. If you have ever been in a relationship with an abuser, they will say the same exact thing...."YOU CAN NOT MAKE IT WITHOUT ME. You will fail."

My spouse and I read this. Fantastic!!! I love how HE took control over his own life. My spouse and I did the same thing. Taking control is 100% the best thing we EVER did. We are stronger for it.
Thank you for sharing this.

How do you feel you have progressed ?
by stuckinarut2 inin the months or years since leaving the organization, how do you think you have progressed as a person?.
(or if you have regressed too i guess?).
what aspects of personal development are you happy with?.

I think all the years of the nagging little voice inside my head..."something is just NOT right here" finally confirmed, after leaving, that there was/is a major problem(s) with the organization. It made me realize why some of our family members are the way they are.
I have moved on realizing that I am a stronger person. I am still very guarded over who I become close with.

Refusing to become an elder
by ragingmad ini know someone who's family is very spiritual and says that her brother only pioneers and does not want to become an elder for various reasons, probably not wanting to deal with people's problems, and also the tremendous workload they put on them.
is this considered refusing advancement by god, or just choosing your own way?
he has not been "tapped" to become one, but he merely hasn't strived to become one..

The Elders just want to dump all the work on the new Elder. Misery loves company!!! lol

Undue Influence
by Lee Elder inthis is what "undue influence" looks like.
it's how you train someone to abandon their children, become a martyr, and drink the kool-aid.

Yes....the Elders must stand ready to ladle out the kool aid.
These 3 paragraphs prove WT for the cult it is. Disgusting!!!
