Yes, they did the same thing with our old KH. Sold it to a church. It was a huge wake up call for us. We faded shorty after the sale. BEST DECISION WE EVER MADE!!

Jehovah's house for Sale?
by JohnTron72 inwhen i drive by the kingdom hall i grew up attending at but, was sold directly to a church, i get angry.
the elders who handled the sale didn't even remove the watchtower shaped bricks on each side of the sign near the street so, now they advertise for a baptist church.
how many times as i grew up i heard things like: you should not do work ( such as clean carpets for a church) you wouldn't want to work at a cigarette making plant or a facility that makes bombs for the military.

My letter of disassociation, what do you think?
by James Jack indear brothers, july 27, 2020. in 1919, the president of the watchtower society made a bold prediction, “millions now living will never die”.
that quotation was constantly repeated by the organization till the year 2000 when they realized that everyone in attendance at that assembly, who listened to j.r. rutherford repeat those words, are dead.. that teaching has guided my life.
statements were repeatedly made at assemblies, conventions and in print that there was no career in “this system of things” so you don’t need a job with benefits or retirement, your fulltime job is to “preach the good news”!

It just makes you wonder if some of these Elders go home and think about what you wrote in your DA letter. You never know how you letter will impact someone. It may not be today but tomorrow may be another story.

Telehealth Doctor's Visits Provided by JW Drs. - Coming Soon?
by JWTom inthere is a zoom meeting in our area this coming weekend to educate anyone with a healthcare background about "volunteering" to be part of providing health care through online zoom doctors visits.
evidently jw doctors across the us are volunteering to do free zoom consultations that are technically real doctors visits.
don't have many details other than i saw some of the letters from petra where people could sign up for this.. wondering if this is already happening in some areas or if anyone knows more about it?

There has to be money in it, if WT is doing it.

It looks like many of the JW's we see around town.....old and dusty.
We had an Elder who had one with wheels. He had his little "rolly bag" and his wife had her little flat sensible shoes and sweater. Can't show those shoulders! They were always telling others their stories. The name dropper stories, oh we went here and we went there. They were the most "spiritual" in the land!!! lol
When I think back, it makes me sad that we wasted all that time in.

Pioneer School Funny Picture
by pale.emperor infound this on one of the exjw reddit pages.
a "hilarious" group photo.
another sign that this isnt the same religion we remembered of the 80s and 90s - and i dont mean that in a good, progressive way.. you can just smell the virginity oozing out of the front and back row.. .

Like it wasn't bad enough sitting in uncomfortable seats for 3 days! Now, you have to watch it at home. Well, I guess you could just say you watched it. lol Is WT going to be monitoring each individual who is watching?

My spouse was "encouraged" to reach out to be a MS. He kept his hours, just below the radar (6-7) and the CO wouldn't allow him to be one. Funny, how he intentionally kept those hours low. lol

Do You Think We Will Ever Get Back To “Normal”?
by minimus ini hope that within the next several months we will get back to some type of normalcy.
will restaurants ever get filled again?
will you ever be able to sit at a bar or go to a concert or broadway show?.

It will get back to normal eventually. It depends on where you live. Northern states are still in lock down. Here in the Southern US states, the restaurants are starting to pick up and the beaches are full.
