  JW's and the care of the elderly

  i've been df'd for 35 years and my uber pioneer mother is getting on in years, 84 to be exact and starting to have signs of dementia and the social worker is worried that she can't be left alone at all anymore.

  she just had her second hip replaced and is in rehab.

  my uber elder cousin is the power of attorney since my mom was told i couldn't be trusted since i'm df'd.

  Oh they do have facilities if you can afford $3500-$4900 per month. http://jah-jirehhomesofamerica.com/ I'm sure they make sure all wills and estates are made payable to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

  Of course your cousin is too busy "in Jehovahs work" to care properly for your Mom but if and when it comes time to settle a will or an estate they are front & center. We have senior family members who are not being taken care of by there Uber dub JW's because the children are just too busy, so the congregation ends up with the responsibility. We have witnessed this in our own families several times. It's sad

  The Watchtower organization's crime against humanity

  who are the real heroes of society?.

  are they not the people who are doctors and nurses and teachers and firemen and policemen and counselors and humanitarians?.

  because of the watchtower organization, we are missing generations of those kinds of heroes who will not exist (but could have) because jehovah's witnesses destroyed them by convincing millions of it's members those professions are meaningless and unimportant for them to pursue.

  Ouch! How many firefighters died on 9/11? 343 firemen, 60 police officers and 8 paramedics. Along with thousands of innocent people.

  Governing Body Member Stephan Lett Lies On JW.TV

  i thought it would be important to clearly point in the recent talk by governing body member stephan lett, that he did in fact deliberately lie concerning what he described as lies and false information by apostates, concerning the organization being permissive toward people in the organization who had been involved in pedophilia.

  the truth of the matter is thats exactly what the organization has been doing and perhaps for a long time.

  the recent candace conti law suit where she was awarded 28 million dollars was levied against the wts for its irresponsible behavior by the elders who gave no notification of the accused jonathan kendrick that he had been charged with pedophilia and spent months in jail for his actions .

  link to the video (10m06s).. skip to 7:35 where he says: "another way we can contribute to the oneness - rejecting false stories that are designed to separate us from jehovah's organization.

  as an example, think about the apostate-driven lies and 'dishonesties' that jehovah's organization is permissive toward pedophiles.

  Midweek Meetings no longer Necessary

  i am sure we have all seen the recent letter to the boe concerning the change that will take place to the meeting arrangement during the week of the co visit.

  to recap the basics: the meeting that usually contains the cong bible study (book study) and a co talk will be discontinued, publishers are encouraged to use their family worship night that week to cover book study material.. so here is a point that i think has been missed, or not even considered:.

  if that particular meeting is hereby deleted from the schedule, the co and his wife will never ever have to participate in or go to another "book study", or "bible study" night again.

  We felt a huge difference after the book study in homes was eliminated. The kids enjoyed it and it drew everyone closer together. This organization takes all of the joy and anything that remotely seems to bring any happiness and either they ruin it or eliminate it. All the happiness is supposed to be saved for the paradise (not now).

  They have discouraged (past and present)...marriage, children, nice homes, the purchase of vehicles, vacations, careers, college education. They tell the brothers how to cut their hair, no beards, the colors of their shirts, the types of shoes/socks that are and are not acceptable. The length of sisters skirts, types of blouses, if the wear pantyhose, the # of piercings they have in their ears. Where you sit at the hall or assemblies. Even the kind of sex you can not have within your marriage. The list goes on and on. The rules are endless with no scriptural backing.

  Your happiness is just around the corner. NOT!!!

  just curious that's all.

  not being a witness ( ubm here ) i think everyone has known a jw kid and at a certain age " my mommy won't let me play with you ".

  Never dumped a worldly friend. They have been better friends than any JW ever was. These are the people we treasure.

  why when a person is dis fellowship the elders and others act like all hope is gone and refuse help that person come back to God's Word

  i been married to my husband for almost 9 years.

  he's been a witness his whole life but got disfellowship a little over 15 years ago.

  before his dis fellowshiping he was very active.

  ray83...that is a very good question.

  Ask yourself this...if you had a child and that child was involved in an accident (even if the child did something foolish that caused the accident) and broke a bone(s) (let's say both their legs). Once they arrived back home and required your help to heal their wounds. Would you tell that child to get out of your home until they were all better?

  I'm a parent (an imperfect parent) and I would NEVER be able to turn my back on my child when they needed me the most.

  Now...ask your self why would a loving and merciful God (and his visible earthy organization) turn their backs on you or anyone else in your time of need?

  Actions speak louder than words.

  There are some (very few) elders that TRULY care about you and your family. They will tell you that "we are the most loving organization" but when you or someone else is DF'd they will act as if you were dead. When you are going through tough times, this is when you need your friends and family the most.This is the main reason we, as a family, left. The hypocrisy is unbelievable!

  Best advise...RUN LIKE HELL. Go enjoy your life and appreciate the ones in your life that TRULY love you and will stick by you through thick and thin. These people are NOT those ones. It's a tough pill to swallow but it's true. Take it from most on this site. They all have seen it too!

  Once you come to the realization that these are not your "loving" brothers and sisters (even family) you will be able to move one. It is one of the most painful realizations I have had to deal with but as time goes on it is getting better. I have no more tears to shed.

  You are 2 brave and courageous women. I am so sorry and sad to hear your story.

  It doesn't surprise me to hear the congregation turned there back on you. Like you told your daughter, it is what they do. We are born ins and we have observed this unloving/inhumane behavior all of our lives.

  It's incredible that this man turned and blew a kiss. True evil!

  We will keep you both in our thoughts.
