  i did from a circuit overseer when i was a servant many moons ago.

  with my newly enlightened mind i finally understand what this means.

  What do they endure?

  1.Driving around aimlessly.

  2. Gossiping. They are really good at this!

  3. Eating too many donuts.

  4. Drinking too much coffee.

  5. Collecting any Governmental Assistance checks they can get their hands on.

  6. Mooching off of anyone in the Congregation they can get their hands on.

  7. Criticising anyone in the Congregation who got a college education and has a good job. They don't have a problem borrowing money from these ones.

  8. Letting everyone know that they are serving Jehovah to the full. Brag, brag, brag.

  9. Walking as slow as possible to the next door.

  most of us old timers left behind a stable, respected, religious heritage in our disillusioned haste to join a stupid cult.. as i recall, there was no rite of dissociation required - no reason offered to your church, no resignation required - it was a non-event from the dubs viewpoint.

  what was your experience?

  were you expected to do or say anything as you abandoned your spiritual heritage to become a drone in the watchtower hive?.

  Unfortunately, we were born ins. We were raised by wonderful families but have alot of resentment because of being born ins. We talk alot about what it is that attracts people to this cult. If we had a choice we wouldn't have chosen to associate with these bat s*** crazy people. I think we were just drug along by our hair. We always felt like something just didn't feel quite right.

  ABCNews Nightline: Segment on JW absuse cases here......

  here is the segment on the conti abuse case in california and jehovah's witness's response as reported on by the abcnews nightline broadcast which was shown early this morning.

  it really displays some absolutely shocking behavior from not only her abuser and his (supportive) wife, but also the jw attorneys and elders via video.

  i am just blown away by the audacity displayed by these monsters.. we can now understand why governing body member stephen lett slipped in his comments a couple of weeks ago about "untrue reports of child abuse" in one of his talks which can viewed on the cult's website.

  Gifts from my old hall..

  hey guys,.

  so, it seems the hall i used to attend before my latest one got to hearing that i "disappeared".

  so today, i went to the post office to pick up a package.... i decided to try to face reality and open it... what i found were multiple letters and wrapped gifts.

  I agree, it was a thoughtful gesture. The issue I have with it is...if you told those ones that sent the items that you no longer believe as you used to but are still the same lovable, kind and gracious person that you were when you were in the organization, they would drop you like a rock. They would no longer desire a friendship with you. They would say..."you left Jehovah." That is not friendship.

  We have several "worldly" (don't you just hate that word?) friends and if I told them I never wanted to be a Baptist, Catholic, jw or whatever religion, they would not dump us like rocks. I know these people well and I know they wouldn't do that. These non believers have been very kind to us.

  I find the conditional love and lack of love one of the MANY flaws of the JW's.

  It's love bombing. Maybe they are counting their time. It's good you didn't open any of that stuff. It's all conditional love. Don't let them pull you into their web. Move on and enjoy your life. Cheers!

  At 6:15 they state, "it's not the responsibility of a religious organization to protect children from sexual abuse by other congregation members. They provide education to parents on the risk of sexual abuse."

  Wow...this is incredible. This cult can tell you EVERYTHING to do in your life regarding childbearing, marriage, the sexual do's and don'ts of the sex you enjoy in marriage, the type of home you live in and the car you drive, your educational choices (the list goes on and on). So let me get this straight...they can micro manage your life on EVERYTHING but it's not their responsibility to protect the children from sexual abuse. This is just incredible. They have washed their hands of any type of responsibility! Hypocrites! The attorney is right..."if any organization needs the sun to shine on them it is this one."

  jw.org cart days numbered?

  reading a report of an elder in a friends cong has been hiding and spying on the pioneers who seem to have a practise of dumping the cart and finding a local coffee shop, i've noticed that they do this in my local high street as well but this week they seemed to be all huddled around the cart, they've clearly been warned, a vast percentage of the time i see they seem to be more interested in fiddling with their mobile phones and gossiping, is just seems these carts are a means for the pioneers to turn in "easy time" i wonder what sort of figures show how much literature is being taken by the public?

  i bet its very minimal.

  naturally the gb would say they are a phenomenal success , we clearly know they are not.

  You left out one...they will continue to ABUSE! Most, if not all, on this site have suffered ABUSE! Some of us have been ABUSED our entire lives. ABUSE takes a toll.

  Have you ever noticed some of the coolers some of these people bring to the assemblies? Looks like they packed a Thanksgiving dinner! Oh that's right we don't celebrate Thanksgiving with Turkey, etc. Yeah right! wink wink
