Did You Feel Bad For the JW Dishwasher-Cook Who Quit His Job (May JW Broadcasting)To Avoid Attending Later Meetings? He Pioneered on Welfare or Unemployment!

did you watch the story about the jw who was working as a burger boy at some diner and his boss wanted him to work on sunday during the time of his meeting?

this faithful jw decided he could not attend a later meeting (6 pm sunday meeting) and soon quit his job(or got fired to attend his sunday meeting) so he could attend the sunday meeting he was assigned to.

i think he was on welfare because this story states he won't work on sunday morning because that's when his meeting is!

We had a Brother in our hall who lost his job and took the advise given at the Circuit Assembly. "If you loose your job, pioneer. Brothers who Pioneer are blessed, in due time, with a job offer." This is how it was spun at the Circuit Assembly.

This Brother did just that, Pioneered. Well...a few years later his pissed off wife went to the Elders and complained that he was not providing for her financially. The Elders met with the Brother and read him the ole standby scriptures about providing for his family (you know the drill). He ended up getting a job.

Moral to the story....in this religion....your damned if you do and damned if you don't. Crazy!!!

German Branch visit talk Mark Sanderson (Parents; don't hinder young children to get baptized)

the video streaming of the german branch visit program was excrutiating 3.5 hours long.. i just went to see the last 45 min (part of mark sandersons talk).. i think sanderson is quite a sympathetic speaker and he kind of made a loving impression.. he didn't mention controversial stuff (except for one thing i will come to soon).

he mostly talked about how to find joy, even when life is not easy, and how much the gb loves the rank and file.. one point seemed soooo important to him.

parents and children.

Well, I guess you have to get your future JW's somewhere. They aren't converting new ones.

You can't drive a car or drink a beer when you are 9-11 but you can dedicate your life to Jehovah.

if you have been a jw for 20+ years you may remember that the wt went into great detail on different illustrations that jesus used and the "type/anti-type" ridiculous explanations.

remember the revelation book and how those obscure jw conventions of the past pictured big things in heaven and the opening of seals?

anyway, the wt lessons for the next two weeks do two big things for me.

1. keep your eye simple and try to find a low paying part time job so you can pioneer.

such jobs might be janitorial or house cleaning, yard care, etc.

Unfortunately , I was born a Sucker too. Our entire family. It took me almost 50 years to figure it out. I regret ever being born in this. It pisses me off every single day but my family and I will move forward with more determination than ever.

i've noted active, devoted jw's state the above.. and, it's not a problem for me to remain trusting of god, i just don't trust religions or men.. recently, a member of this forum stated that he remains an active jw, in the family of god's people, wanting to encourage and do good - whilst recognising that the pastoral leaders (the gb) have shipwrecked the faith of many, being unsound scripturally etc, etc.. stop and think about this - the bible says to not follow after those who lie and hurt the faith of "little ones".. the pharisees were accused of traversing over lands and expending much energy to make a single convert - only for that convert to end up worse of than he started off with.. it's one thing to not believe this is the 'truth' and feeling the awful pressure of managing ones life, trying not to lose ones family.. it's quite another thing to declare oneself to be a christian believer of god's jw household, and somehow believe the god of love would use corrupt liars to parade as jesus' brothers in the urgency of last days.

and, to then visibly promote faith in corrupt men, and try to bring converts into a place where the rulership is wrong.. some of us are dying from hurt here.......give me a break..

I think you should write a letter or better yet give the Branch a call and let the GB know how you truly feel. Like you have on here. Give them your true name and congregation you are associated with.

couple of weeks ago an elder took a young man aside and crawled all over him after the tms for wearing a "skinny" tie.

it was one of those 2 inch wide ties.

nothing bright or scandalous about.

Ask the Elder how he noticed your skirt is to short (see if you can ask with his wife standing there). Notice much Brother horny? Assh****.

They're Making it Impossible to Fade

for those of you who have already faded due to family still being in, have you noticed how the noose is tightening?.

if it's not memorial, it's special day assembly.

if it's not that, it's convention or the special talk.

DO NOT GIVE THEM CONTROL! IF YOU GIVE IT TO THEM THE WILL TAKE IT!

We have had this happen to us. Use the not feeling well/work schedule excuse as much as you can. If they start digging further, tell them you have some personal issues but give them NO details.

The miranda rights state, "anything you say can and will be used against you." It goes for the JW police as well. As soon as you start talking they WILL hang you. Guarantee it. Also, if you give them NOTHING it will drive them insane. We all know JW's are the nosiest people on the planet and thrive on rummaging around in your underwear drawer and going through your movie collection.

The miranda rights also state that you have the right to remain silent. Do just that!

We are having a great time watching these fascinating people try to figure out what is going on with us. It's a mystery!

If they become too intrusive tell them to mind there own business and get off your back. I'll repeat...IF YOU GIVE THEM POWER OVER YOU, THEY WILL TAKE IT.

CO letter about using time or money to help out in Napal!

i was talking to my brother this morning.

last night at his meeting, they read a letter from their co. he talked about the earthquake.

he said that if some were moved to maybe take some vacation time, and go do volunteer work in napal.
