20Tsongas Center Lowell MA, Sunday Session of the Regional Convention 2015
by oppostate inwe're breaking up the regional convention event by going each of the days to a different weekend session.. the tsongas center lowell ma was a bit hard to find, we got lost and got there after the first song and prayer (just in time for the first talk)!
we ran into so many from our home congregation who aren't even assigned to this rc!.
i think it's quite common for publishers now to break up the convention weekend and attend at times when their congregation isn't assigned.. some families (3) were attending this particular convention so as to meet up with family members who are in another part of the region.

The monthly broadcast as an opportunity to wake up
by paradisebeauty ini was thinking that maybe the monthly broadcasts are a occasion for some jw's to wake up.
before those broadcasts they probably imagined that the gobgoverning y members are some very special peopleand that you see in their behavior and words that they are "chosen".
but now all jw's can see them for who they really are: average men, some full of themselves, some ridiculous, some just normal men with nothing special.

I do believe these broadcasts and the AMIII zone meeting rant are getting some to think. Some folks we have talked to, stated they are giving less or nothing at all. Time will tell the true impact. -

the culture within the organization dictates to all young male jehovah's witnesses that unless you are an elder, you will not get the sultry, passionate- brunette, the voluptuous, curvaceous,- blond, or the seductive, erotic, red headed-vamp..
so unaware of the social forces that are shaping your mind, you succumb to the dictum issued by the governing body to conform to the structure already in place- if you want to be successful.

John, I got to the point were I figured. If they do not want me to help, handling mics, sound, M.S., etc... Then they could do ALL the work themselves! This included cleaning the toilets! Oh, my field service time was always good enough to clean the bathrooms. I am very glad I was never made a servant. It made our fade much easier to do. -

John. I never even made it to M.S. Status. I was told numerous times I needed to get more F.S. Hours. I was 6 - 8 hrs per month, they said I needed at least the national avg. Shorty after that meeting, due my work. I could only make 3 - 5 hrs per month. I was no longer good enough to even handle a mic! -

Our hall is asking for money...
by thedepressedsoul ini guess the branch isn't happy with the amount being sent each month since we are way lower than our loan amount.
we now have to another financial survey to see the max amount that can be given.
it is "encouraged" for all to be in attendance and give much forethought and consideration to the amount you can donate each month.

So, what happens if a congregation does not have enough funds to cover local expenses, utilities, supplies, etc? Let's say they have asked the "friends" for additional funds, still not enough. Will WT help the congregation?
Has anyone experienced this type of situation?

Switching Halls
by the comet init's time for me and the mrs. to get the hell outta dodge.
recently my hall has undergone major management changes and the atmosphere is..less than ideal.
i'm getting multiple calls a week asking to set up a time to meet, i've politely declined but these guys aren't taking a hint.

For our situation. We just faded from our hall. We figured, if we move halls the Elders will just send a letter telling the new set of Elders how weak we are. Then we have to deal with a new set is Elders. Hope it works out well for you! -
